![]() All I got on 3121 was a black screen and a red x...stupid work computer. ![]() Don’t worry, eye won’t hurt u, eye only want u 2 have some fun….”And so the fun began with the opening sample from 1999 leading the band in2 the ultimate party song, band and crowd feeding off the nrg on this one. The band even sang the “mommy… y does everybody have a bomb?” breakdown. Is this 4 real? Whew! The lighting 2nite was so on point.. maybe it’s just us, but we were really feeling it. The way the lights strobed on Cora during her SHHH solos, the sexy blue lights on Somewhere Here on Earth, and the purple-lit smoke during the end of Purple Rain complimented the set so nicely. Nice catch, guitar tech… After playing Guitar, Prince threw his guitar so high we almost lost view of it in the lights. Good thing the tech didn’t! During 7, Prince played a nice, bluesy riff 2 keep the jam going. He must’ve been feelin’ the mood 2nite becuz all the guitar playing SMOKED! The solo during SHHH was even better than during the last show, and he added some beautifully articulated riffs 2 the Purple Rain solo. Guitar students, go 2 one of the O2 shows 4 the best lessons u can get! Prince and the band even played 4ever in My Life.. how cool is that? Everyone sang along with Prince on the “la da da da da dadada” parts, and then he led them thru chants of “all right” later in the song. 2 classics added 2 the set in one night.. we can hardly wait 2 hear what’s next! The show closed with Nothing Compares 2 U, with Prince singing down on one knee. Afterwards, he said, “U’re making me feel 2 good 2nite, London… From the bottom of r hearts, all 21 nights we will give r all.” U make us feel good 2, Prince and the NPG. Thank u so much!

Well, of course the reviews are going to be positive, it is Prince's official website.
There is enough negative shit on the independent sites if you want to read it. Do you expect critical reviews on the Artists own site?

I think the reviews should be a little more fair and balanced and hey, here's an idea: let fans post reviews like they did after the 777 show in Minni directly to the site.

That was actually a little toned down compared to some of the ![]() I think what makes it so icky for me is that it's OBVIOUS that it's controlled spin. Yes, it's Prince's site and yes, it's going to be positive, but it just reads completely fake. For me, personally, it doesn't help that Princebonics are used, as I have a really low ![]() There was no name dropping it this one! ![]() "Violet Brown" and/or "Vanessa Bartholomew" were not "writing it"! ![]() There's been WAY worse ones, but this one's still a tad icky. ![]() Lo ![]() I'm firmly planted in denial

I hear you girl, I find the blurbs on 3121.com to be insipid, juvenile and positively unreadable. Getting rid of the 9th grade "princeybonics" would be a big improvement. I'll admit to being a bit anal about things like spelling, punctuation and grammar so that's probably the main reason it irks me so much. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Without a doubt they are sickening.
Yet think of this -- the mods here IMMEDIETELY caved to the demands posted there. Pathetic? Indeed. No hard feelings.

There are actually one or two Orgers/Quakers who I *swear* could have written them, which I find kind of gross; because I'm fairly certain said Orgers/Quakers are not employed by PP/3121/NPG but have just decided to fashion their own speech/writing patterns like that. ![]()

the thing that bugs me the absolute most about the blogs is the vomitrocious spelling...whenever i attempt to read through that shit, i feel like i'm learning how to read all over again. i shouldn't be stumbling through a crapload of wonky spelling in order to decipher a concert report. prince, you're gonna be 50 pretty soon...dont'cha think you're a bit too old to be spelling like a teenager texting to their friends, man? i know full-well that you know how to spell.
whoever posts those blogs: PROPER SPELLING, PLEASE. ![]()

Wellll.....if I had my own website, I wouldn't post negative stuff about myself. I'd even go so far as to fire any employee who did. Someone's obviously been hired to give reviews and song info on his UK concerts.
Sure it's a little saccharine, but what the hell?

Sure it's a little saccharine, but what the hell? For me, it's more than a little saccharine--it's all the verbal back slapping and high-fiving that gets to me. "Prince tore it up again!" "Prince is taking the kids to SCHOOL!" "This is real music!" I mean, DUH. And I do have my own website, and I certainly wouldn't put THAT stuff on it. But, that's just me. . . . [Edited 9/2/07 18:42pm] I agree. The reviews could stand a little more maturity with composition, proper spelling, and objectivity. Since it's Prince's website, he must approve. Or else, be too busy to be bothered. I looked at Eric Clapton, Dylan, and Madonna's official web sites to compare. Madonna's site does have quite a bit of self promotion which is communicated differently. (there is a "happy birthday" blurb, with no mention of her age: that's it, keep us guessing!ha) I'm sure she has an entire army of writers, editors, and PR employees putting that together! At least Prince is comfortable with his age, and maybe he's trying to appeal to the younger generations? It's not boring, stuffy, and dry. That would be worse.
