What about all the music I downloaded??? So I downloaded all kinds of cd's from npgmusicclub.com. Luckily I burned most of them to cd, but there are a couple I missed, and now the licenses are nowhere on the web to be found! I frickin' paid for them, and I want to listen to them!
Anyone else deal w/ this or have any solutions? Thanks, Donna

Hi everyone,
Me too - I can't play any video clips or tracks that I bought from the 'club'. It's a real shame because I miss stuff like the vanguard jam etc. I know these things occasionally appear on YouTube but it's not the same IMHO. Hope you can help me too!! Orgnote me if discussion is not possible here... T

I am having the same problem!! My wife downloaded a lot of the music from the old site last summer for my birthday and yesterday, someone broke into my truck and stole every CD I own, including these!!! We thought they were still on our computer, but it's saying the page we are searching for cannot be found, so the licensing is not there!! If anyone can tell us how to get these back please let us know!

The licenses have been removed. I've contacted the hosting company and they confirmed that NPG have removed the license page.Without the license page there's no way to get the music and video files playing again.
I have been trying to unite disgruntled fans but is hasn't been easy because there is a lot of division in the Prince fan community. If you're unhappy, please send a formal complaint to Prince's lawyer, because the removal of these licenses constitute in my regard a breach of consumer law. I'm quite curious if the 3121 retail shop will evolve into a new music club and I surely hope that ex-NPGMC members won't have to pay a new membership fee. I for one will never pay a fee for a new club, as I haven't been able to enjoy my former membership (they closed it down 2 months after I joined) and you can't rely on this organisation because they might take away licenses for music without any announcement.

(i could be wrong but i believe thes are the file names) drmv1key.bak drmv1lic.bak or drmv2key.bak drmv2lic.bak Which version of Media Player are you using? You know that Windows Media Player 11 no longer supports backup and restore of licence content? I've got a dual boot XP/Vista system, with WiMP 11 on both. Licences originally acquired on my XP system, but there is no way to back them up or restore them on to Vista. [Not using WiMP anyway]. I really need to change computers now as my one is on its last legs, but I know I will lost all my downloaded video if I do. At least audio files I can rip to an Audio CD. It's Pants. I've also just posted on the main forum page wondering whether 3121 will pick up the licences again. Interesting though that guitar purchased from 3121 has no DRM protection so it looks as if Prince won't use it going forward at least.

Stick to XP and WMP10 to save and restore. It's incredible how MS have done this - it's changing the contract after you've bought something - when I downloaded the songs, I had WMP10 and I was allowed to back up licences - that formed part of the agreement.
