The persons who benefited from being a member this are those who managed to see him concert. Beleive me, the ONA cd has been played three times. I really though I liked Here on Earth, but that was unfounded.

I am not a member and wondered about joining... I am a very longtime fan but have never gone in 4 clubs and stuff - tho I do love his music a much as u all obviously do. But from pure sense if all i am going to get is cds that i can buy elsewhere at £15.00 then when woulf i pay $100 ?

Especially when he probably wont tour for ages again anyway... (hope its not tru but...)

From pure sense point of view it seems i would be getting shortchanged by some way and that i would feel bitter about it. I am a lawyer in the uk and have to say that if i had been treated and promised as you all semm to have been then come the end of the year I would, if he hadnt delivered on his contract sue him - especially as he seems so litigious at the moment! I must also say that it all seems somewaht hypocritical - I wasat manchester on the 7th and listened to him and was wowed but what strikes me is his "it is better to give than receive" lines - you are doing the giving and are not receiving!

If he wanted to be free and do what he wanted and when then he should not have promised four cds of original material - a committment that he clearly wants now to renege on.

So far as part of the $100 membership I've had:

1. ONA cd - half of which I downloaded last year.

2. The opportunity to buy front area tickets in advance (for an extra $25 or so over the normal ticket price). Which was, you know, nice.

3. Went to the 2 Manchester shows. The first didn't have a soundcheck. The afterparty was okay but no performance or appearance by any of the band. The second had a soundcheck, 3 of the 4 songs played were later played in the concert, nice to hear them twice and everything, but...
And no interaction/questions with Prince on stage. And no afterparty. The concerts were fantastic! But it's not like the tickets were free as part of the club, I had to pay extra for them.

4. The opportunity to go to the celebration. If you paid extra. And as it happens, I didn't have a thousand quid lying around to pay for going.

All I really wanted for $100 dollars was 4 exclusive new CDs. I will feel a little hard done by if this live set (Which as I recall was advertised as a 2CD set with a free bonus CD - you can't call it free then charge extra for it surely?) is used to fullfill the $100, simply because it will surely be cheaper than $75 to buy it in the shops?

The basis of the club is you get more Prince stuff than non-members, now it seems we're only getting only slightly more than joe public, which is a shame.

Still, the year isn't up yet, let's see what happens.

I have lost all of my YEAR 1 NPGMC Video files...does anyone know where I can get them from. I have contacted the club but they are unable to help.


Does anyone else think that the NPGMC concert ticket system stinks...it used to be that all members got a chance to get tickets - not just a few people bunking of work buying up tickets to evry gig. I was upstair at the London Apollo and was a little hurt when Prince had the front rows singing "join the club" in our direction. Maybe he thought that the only members in the house were down the front..not true Princey.As Ticketmaster kept denying there was a show on the 5th I was lucky to get tickets at all...it wasnt until the 4th time i got through and spoke to a manager that they would actually sell me tickets for the 5th - suspicious or what!!!
