Well the day I never thought I'd see finally came - One Nite Alone piano demo cd in my mailbox. The status of the shipment in the 'Ur Account' section of NPGMC has indicated "Shipped" since the very first copies went out back in May or whenever that was. After emailing NPG@gage.com a few times, I wasn't too worried about getting it, eventually, but to finally have *something* in my hands feels good.

And I must say, I really enjoy it. Maybe it's too boring for the hardcore funkateers around here, but I like having an entire cd (albeit a short one) showing off Prince's softer side.

What was the postmark date of shipment on the package ?

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm just going to wait until the end of the club and see if they can make up for the sloppy start...

The postmark was Sept. 18th, and I received it yesterday, the 23rd. I guess that's reasonable shipment time by USPS, given the weekend. The big question is why has it taken so long to be sent out?

I'm guessing my original shipment (from May) got lost in database hell, given the trouble they've had handling tickets, and the other people who didn't get their ONA disc right away. Who knows. It'd be nice if Prince could contract out a more competent organization, but I'm still hoping things get smoothed out with the current setup.

This is interesting.

They did say that any members joining after the first shipment, would have their CD's sent when the next CD shipment was ready.

Does this mean that the next members CD is nearly on it's way? I won't be holding my breath, but I can hope.

OK so lets say the arrival of this CD means the next CD for club members is going out next. And it will be - Xenophobia. Mail the 2nd NPGMC cds out now because next the 3 cd set will be offered to NPGMC members & they will have to be shipped out before the commercially available version hits the racks. Tick Tock - they better get a move on.

I don't remember the dates exactly, but I know when I joined (Before the KC concert, because I wanted tix for it), ONA was not shipping yet. My account status was updated around the same time as all other early members, where it said "In Progress" for awhile and then "Shipped."

Anyway, I'm just trying to say you probably shouldn't take my post as any indication of whether the next cd is shipping now. I think NPGMC may still be playing catchup on all the original ONA shipments that got "lost" or something. I certainly hope the next cd is on its way soon though.

you're not the only one that finally got his ONA cd. mine actually arrived at my front door last week!!! i had been e-mailing them for like 2 months asking what the hold up was. i started to doubt that was ever going to get it. well... i got it. funny thing though... i've been listening to it for months now. you can find everything on the net.

eye am hoping they will start this shipping thing off soon, whats the hold up? am eye gonna get everything eye want from year 2 when it ends? what the heck would eye join at first in year 3 for.. eye will have all this music (if the cds are actually a decent length) to not even worry about year 3, when it starts...
