I must say i do NOT miss the mods' (some of them),double standards and ass-backwards way of doing things.

damn a year already? I can't say I miss the place. I do how ever miss a FEW of the people.

I miss the tickets but not the forums or the chats, I hated it over there.

I never had a problem with the mods (personally)
though some ppl were banned unfairly, and others.. they took too long in banning them

Sadly, we have lost touch with some, but, between here, HQ & NPGU, (and MySpace) we've got most of the regulars & semi-regulars from NPGMC's forums and/or chat
Luckily, the support is still there, as members go thru births, deaths, illness, milestones, etc.

I miss the new songs/mixes every once in a while in GlamSlam, and the videos in CyberClips.. the Musicology Download Store (but not those damn licenses).. And, God, do I miss our Presales!!..
but, I even miss some of the crazyness

- that chick who swore Bono from U2 was the devil
- the other chick who got enraged when somebody mentioned that Mariah Carey attended one of the 3121 parties (after some award show)
- the weird, long-ass thread in Musicology forum about how Black Sweat was a racist song & they were gonna stop buying Prince's music
- the ppl who'd pay $25 just to bash/bad mouth Prince in U Tell Us forum, claiming to know him personally & to have received threatening phone calls directly from him (forever banned with the quickness )
- debates with those who believed that Prince owed them, that they were entitled to bootlegs b/c they had been buying his music & posters for over 20 years
- ppl outside the United States confused about the need for/offended by the acknowledgement of "Black History Month" in the Knowledge forum..
- ppl outside the US who said Prince shouldn't be considered black b/c he's pale
- debates with those who thought Prince was the only good musician/singer -- EVER
- ppl getting banned for asking why somebody else was banned/requesting their return


*sigh*

I'm pissed that it closed down. I got the best tix ever to his shows when I was a member!!!

I had no sooner joined the NPG Club when it closed! Is there no where now for pre sale tickets? Also I entered my details on the 3121 site and have received nothing via e-mail. Whats the story?
