I was holding off joining until I knew there would be a UK tour in order for me to get all the benefits our American friends get (early booking, soundchecks etc)

Well I joined today.

The first thing I noticed was the disclaimer saying that CDs are sent out in batches, so in other words I will not receive my ONA piano album until the next CD is being shipped (and they will come together). Well that does seem fair enough and it makes me wonder why so many people have been bitching on here?

Fingers crossed I won't have a bad experience but who knows?

So who else is now gonna join?

Please please please be worth it. I think it will and I cannot wait to get my CD's (any ideas when?) and 3rd oct will be fantastic!!!

I've had to borrow two different credit cards to pay for the costs. I guess I have some good friends who trust me.

It's nice you joined at least, but think about the first day members (the real loyal fans) who didn't get a chance to purchase tickets

You aren't a "real loyal" fan cos you joined on the first day. You simply have more money than me

You have no idea what spending $300 is like to me, and I have no idea how i'll pay it back, but I know I'm going to be working my ass off to pay for these tickets and membership and I deserve the tickets just as much as you.
I'm not saying you don't deserve one, but slagging us off isn't getting you anywhere, except on bad terms with us.

I can't speak for newpowersoul but I guess the situation there was the same as mine. I sat at the PC clicking refresh for an hour and a half, before I could even get on the site. But much like old mother hubbard before me, when I got there the site was bare. All tickets sold with not even the opportunity to find out how much they were!!

I don't think that anyone should be deprived of tickets or that anyone deserves them any more or less, but I have supported Prince in the NPGMC from the beginning and have very little to show for it. I joined year one ASAP and enjoyed the monthly downloads, for me it worked well. He didn't come over that year, so I couldn't benefit from the ticket perks, but that was the chance I too. This year I joined from day one again and got real excited that he was coming over, yet I still miss out.

Now I am going to end up at the show, asuming I get lucky enough to win the race for a ticket in the public sale, and I will be sitting behind people who haven't paid $100 for the chance to get preferred seating. Something doesn't add up.

I was a member of NPGMC 2001... I never bothered joining in 2002 because the music wasn't ready to ship yet. I figured I'd wait until the CDs were finished and available and I knew what I was buying. I still feel that way. From the looks of it, the 4 CDs includes the ONA piano album (half of which I've already heard from NPGMC 2001) and the 3 CD live set (which it seems will be released to retail at some point anyway). So, here I am still sitting on the fence.

I'll join when there's a good reason to join (i.e. new music, ready to ship).
