NPG site and the fact I paid to be a member...

Hi can anyone help? I joined the NPG site last year as a member, as far as I'm aware US fans were able to book priority tkts through that site when they were members, but now this site has disappeared even though I paid shortly before it did, when he releases the tkts for the UK gigs unless youre an O2 mobile customer you dont get priority, which hardly seems fair when I'm a genuine fan who appears to have paid for nothing... any advice would be great cheers, I'm over the moon about the 21 gigs in London but apprehensive I won't get some...

I'm in the same boat as you, having paid $25 to that site about a year before it went down, so I sympathise with you. The only reason I joined up to the NPG club was in the hope that I got a good chance of getting some great tickets for any show he did over here. I think it's a bloody cheek and I feel ripped off now.

I wouldn't mind but my opinion was that NPG site it was a bit poo!

However, I think you'll have absolutly no problem getting a ticket or two! He's not popular enough to sell out 7 arena shows anymore.

I was once a member too. And since the site is extinct, I doubt past membership applies anymore.

Quite agree with all your comments. I was a member of the NPG site for many years and not once get an opportunity of getting priorty tickets. Why did Prince not repeat the offer on the latest website. I feel he has let down his very loyal fans. Fortunately for me I have managed to get tickets for opening night but am very disappointed that the priorty tickets have ben sold in this manner

As much as I'm hoping for good seats for the London gigs, so long as I at least get to see him just once this August, it'll do me.

Yep, I was a paying member of the NPGMC and they fucked up during the ticket sales for the ONA tour in the UK and it still stings. But that was then and this is now.

It's gone it's gone...

I never had the chance 2 use the tickets thing because P only went in Europe once in the 5 years' existence of NPGMC (& i was in China when he came in 2002 eek ) so anyway it was already a rip-off 4 non-US members.

Even the discounts on the musical files were not that great because i don't thing i even got my $25 back with it.

The forum was possibly attractive 2 some, i prefered 2 stay here on the org...

The only years when being a member was really worth it were 2001 & 2002: then we really had LOT of stuff 4 our $100. I hope P will do it again in the future.

It sounds like I was one of the lucky ones. I am from Sydney and was an NPGMC member when Prince toured Australia in October 2003. I was able to get VIP tickets by using a password and calling an advanced ticket sales phone number. Mind you it took 3 1/2 hours of busy signal before I got through.

I am particually sad about the NPGMC closing.....a few days before it vanished a ordered, and paid for, a bunch of stuff from the NPGMC on-line store. It never arrived!

I hold out hope the NPGMC will return before Prince tours Australia again.
The years have been kind to me..............................it's the weekends that have done the damage!

Taking ur money never sending your stuff is just illegal. I'm not telling u 2 start a legal action but u should have sent at least an e-mail to NPGMC & protest!
