Seriously.  Where the hell is this coming from? It's got that heavily reverbed ragged voice, which is almost more what I equate with classic "rock" Prince than any amount of guitar. If the new original songs have the same sound as this cover thingee, I'm more excited about Prince than I've been in years.- I really liked the snippet. I just hope the full version is great. |

I remeber when Fury was first heard, everyone said it was a great Prince rock song. How does this new one compare? fury is indeed a great rock track, but i still prefer the more raw version he did at SNL. i just hope this new track sound really raw and unpolished. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

Musicology came out April 2004 so that was almost a 2 year gap to 3121. More true to say that we usually get a new CD within 2 years at least... and this is a new single track download, no news of a new album as yet. | |

Fury's got a touch of it, but this is full blown "Another Lonely Xmas" style reverb. Howard Stern even mention how the singing on the track grabs him--I think it's that heavy reverb, melancholy quality that people associate with the Purple Rain era. |

I think it's actually most accurate to say that he typically releases an album every calendar year . . . regardless of how many months between releases. The only years (that I can think of) that he didn't release a new CD are '83, '97, and '05. 1983 for obvious reasons - he was workin' on something  |
