It's been six months, and though I hated the NPGMC forums and couldn't stand some of the folks there, I still believed it had a purpose. For $25, great tickets, great aftershows, sometimes discounted prices, soundchecks, etc.....

I miss it dammit !!!!!

I usually skipped the forums and go right to the NEWS section. How sweet that was when things were really happeneing, and member tickets were available.

It happened that we had an average 10 new songs EVERY months between the mp3 files, the quicktime videos & the new & live songs in the Ahdio shows!!! Prince released more music in 2001 than ever before or since & it was wonderful music!!!

Seems like no one has answered the question, or reposted the big 'secret password' for advance/special tickets...I want to go back in the spring and would love to hang in the long ass line w/ some NPGers. I don't know if you ordered the 20th anniversay DVD edition of Purple Rain but I ordered it last year and it is a great DVD, especially the commentary section, gives you a lot of background information on the movie, though no outakes.

The Org's FAQs is a great place to start (was for me) and Housequake.com has an excellent video section to performances and interviews.

Although Musicology never went overseas, I'm hoping if a tour does kick off, it starts in Europe just for my fellow European fans.

The NPGMC is currently on hiatus. I was able to enjoy it for a six months for one year before it shutdown. Only time will tell if it will come back up.

HE IS UNLIKE ANYTHING IVE HEARD BEFORE. PURPLE RAIN BLOWS ME AWAY EVERY TIME I HEAR IT AND I PLAY IT EVERYDAY! IVE ALWAYS KNOWN PRINCE WAS OUTTHERE BUT NEVER CAUGHT ON APART FROM ONE SONG WHICH IVE ALWAYS LOVED ITS "COULD YOU BE THE MOST BEAUTIFULL GIRL IN THE WORLD" I INTEND TO BUY THE GOLD EXPERIENCE THATS WHERE I CAN FIND IT IM TOLD. I've been a fan since '84-'91 then took a break and came back right as the Musicology tour wrapped, could you believe that? Oh well. You'll definately meet a lot of cool people when you go to concerts. I flew solo for opening weekend in Vegas and i'm going solo again, but it's all good, you get to meet up and hang out with really cool people from all over the country/world.

Another nail is 3121 website that seems to just be a flier on the net to get you to go to Las Vegas to spend cash in the posh cafe then sample some music This seems to be entering into the world of Tom Jones and Inglegglebuuurtthumpadinkalinkle not the relm of Prince
His music of late is also a little lack lustre (there are exceptions!)

So no I do not miss the NPG Music club
I do miss going to the wrekastow to purchase some damn good funky music that would shock and surprise

I avoided the forums mostly, I only cared about the News Section, and the joyful act of opening the "drawer" in the concert section for Member tickets.
