Have y'all noticed that the NPGMC Retail Section has been seriously neglected? Really, the best recent use of the section was the advanced purchase of ONA passes. Now we're back to the same tired old mugs and mouse-pads!

It can't be easy creating the world's best new music AND running an interesting website, so I thought we could offer Prince some REASONABLE suggestions for new items that could be sold at the NPGMC Retail Section. I'm talking about stuff that could really generate some excitement among fans and "fams" alike.

So let me get started. Here are just a few items that I'd like to see for sale at the NPGMC:

• Professional photos from previous concerts/tours in limited editions, suitable for framing, possibly numbered and signed by Prince.
  
• Prince's entire released catalog of original CD's, 1978-present, yes even the WB stuff, available at retail prices (higher prices, of course, for out of print discs). Shouldn't every Prince CD be available at his official website?! Hey now, the remastered versions would be even better!
  
• Vintage Prince clothing items - auctioned - with certificates of authenticity.
  
• Any available leftover tour programs, from any past tour - these would find instant homes, I'm sure!
  
• Additional DVD collections of Prince videos, released in cooperation with WB (or whomever), from 1978-present.
  
• DVD collections of live Prince performances. For example, isn't it a shame that the amazing videotaped HitNRun performances are not available except in limited quality downloads that we received as part of the Club last year?

Well, there are many other items that could be easily produced and offered at the Members' Retail Section. So take a moment, include your suggestions, and maybe someone nice from the NPG will take our suggestions to Prince. I'm ready to "Start Shopping...!"

I wish NPG retail would offer a picture of Prince
with his pets, plus other pictures.

i think it's a legally problem that he can't offer all
the old cd's from warner. the same would be also with the
videos. wb would have the exclusive right 2 sell them...

but damed yes! Prince, we need some new stuff!!!

Absolutely more music,videos. Also posters,t-shirts,programs. Everything we need more Stuff to Add to our collection. We just can't get Enough. It's boring and Dead now. Nothing new!

BTW, with his Warner deal of 1992, Prince OWNS all his videos n even after the whole Warner Fiasco, he released the Beautiful Experience n other things straight to tv networks in other countries. Would not have been able to do that IF he did not have that dela in place.

Also, Sign O the Times was released thru Universal NOT Warner, so since universla is now his publishing company...

Personally I really dislike cheap,tacky merchandise which so far is all I see for sale in the retail section.

I would love to see EXCLUSIVE CD's (OK I know we are getting those thru the NPGMC)But re-released hard to find Paisley Park CD's like Jill Jones,Madhouse,The Family etc.
And the CD singles from the Hit and Run tour that now sell for so much on ebay.

Nice clothing,no more crappy t shirts with huge logos all over them,something subtle,tasteful.

And last but no means least,Cloud Guitars I missed out last time Grrr

I want a pen that has a picture of Prince on it & when you turn it over his clothes vanish.

I want a bobblehead Prince statue.

I want a Prince belt buckle.

I want a new cd single each month.

How about the first-ever, live Prince CD featuring the best versions of old and new songs from the One Nite Alone Tour!

Release it to Club members first, with a special limited edition DVD of some of the performances from Xenophobia, and then put the live ONA CD out for public retail consumption.

In addition to all the good stuff listed above, how about a pair of symbol earrings, symbol neck chain, sun visors, and knit scarves with piano keys & symbol.
