What is the deal with NPGMC and these e-mails? What are the criteria? Are they sent based on location, length of membership, level of activity, what? I thought I would take a poll to see which members received the e-mail and which ones did not. Please help me understand the method to the madness by participating in my unscientific poll.


I'll start it off.

Status: No e-mail
Location: Chicago
Member since: 2004
Activity level: very active - downloads, tickets, merchandise.

i got one late last night, after i'd gone to bed.

I got one last night, but I never did get the one when the club closed...
so I was surprised to say the least...I'm in the midwest too,
member since 2004, and was very active as well.....

And messages were sporatic the last 2 months the club existed....for me
anyway..

Activity level: Not very active - mainly tickets and posted to message boards a WHOLE lot.

I woke up this morning and saw it in my inbox. I was checking at late as midnight so it came when I was asleep.

I think for some reason they sent it out at different times, otherwise, perhaps when it comes to mass mailings it takes longer than others, I guess. Ofcourse i was freaking out because folks from Greece and Australia over on HQ claimed they received it and I live in Miami and joined December 2004.

Thanks to all for responding. Although, I have no idea why this thread is being moved. However, I did get enough responses to see that there is no method to the madness.

I got it, been a member since 2002, in Indiana, i posted and chatted a lot at the start but in the last 2 years only went in for the download store and updates

I was all mad that I didn't get the email (even though I'm SOOO not goin to Vegas right now) then I found the email about an hour ago. My bulk mail filter had kicked it to the trash. It was doing my work for me

Spam filtering was not the culprit for me. I simply did not get the e-mail. I don't have a filter on the e-mail that I use for NPGMC. They just need to fix whatever the problem is with the e-mail over at NPGMC.

I remember not receiving mailings in the past, so I was ecstatic when I got the presale e-mail for the Tamar show in Chicago. I'm so used to buying my tix through the pre-sale and getting the club member treatment at shows that I can't fathom buying Prince tix any other way. So for the sake of my blood pressure, I hope they work the kinks out!
