I AM MAILING PACKING MATERIALS TO NPGMC I am going to send a postage-prepaid mailer to NPGMC, so that they'll have no excuse for sending my ONA CD. All they'll have to do is put it in the mailer and send it out with the mail. After the hundred dollars I sent them, I shouldn't have to spend more money on postage and packing supplies, but I want to see if these folks are so lazy that they wouldn't even slip a CD into a mailer and drop it in a mailbox.
Does anyone have the mailing address for where NPGMC merchandise ships from? Org-note it to me. I'll then send out the mailer via registered mail, and e-mail NPGMC alerting them of the mailer's arrival. Thanks in advance for the info

I'm glad I'm not the only one who never got the ONA disc. If it works for you, I'll do the same.

Hey, eliminate the middle man. Good tactic Anxious One. Blue

I think they're shipping through a company called Gage Marketing? That is a separate entity from the club, obviously, so it might not be the way to go.

This is taken directly from the NPGMC site:
*PLEASE NOTE: The CDs r not sent out on a continual basis. They r sent out in batches at the time of release. When each individual CD is released, they r sent 2 all the members and not at any other time. If u join AFTER a CD is first released, u will still get that CD but not until the next batch is sent out. All 2002 Members, regardless of when they join, will get the SAME 4 CDs. I gathered from your last thread that you joined late so I looked this up for you. I am not sure why they are not telling you this (Well actually it's because they are not the smartest folk in the world at the NPGMC), but I assume that this is why you have not gotten your cd. . DIVO02 SAID Anxiety- Didn't you admit to knowing this on another thread? If they make an exceptiion for you...they might have to send out other CD's as well to people who joined later. Maybe they get a volume discount for a larger mailing with the mailing house they use. I would be more upset at the lack of communication from NPGMC. Although the website does make it clear...NPGMC should do a better job communicating their policies. . Divo - yes, I had heard rumblings about this policy on the Org and on AMP, but to my discredit, I never saw this on NPGMC (maybe because my computer freezes up whenever I try to log on to the members site, and when I try to log on using a faster computer at work, the same thing happens? But that's another gripe for another thread, and more likely than not, simply MY problem for having access to crappy PCs)...HOWEVER: 1) What NPGMC has been doing is not in line with the written policy - additional "waves" of ONA have INDEED been shipped out, or such is my understanding based on noticing new "waves" of folks over the past months report getting their copies of ONA. 2) In all of my correspondence with NPGMC over the past three months, they have not mentioned this policy ONCE. In fact, at one point, they said they had sent out my copy of ONA and it should arrive in two weeks; after waiting a month, I checked in with them again, and they said they had no idea what the status of my order was. THIS kind of mess is what I find objectionable, and after getting jerked around all summer, I think it's high time for them to hold themselves accountable for their services. Am I wrong? Cuz if I am, I want to know about it.

Cuz if I am, I want to know about it. For the record this information is not on the members section of the NPGMC it is on the page that you click when you sign up to become a member. You would have had to have read this information (or at least have been given the inforamtion) at the time that you joined the club. Also, it seems to me that they refer to a "wave" as a given time period when the cd's are being sent out. All the cd's were sent out over a few week period so this would count as a "wave". I have not heard of people still receiving their cd's in a long time now. From the reports around here they were pretty much all sent out around the same time period. So basically this means that you will be getting your "One Night Alone" cd at the time of the shipment of "Xenophoboia". If I were you I would write a long letter and say that you finally figured out why you didn't get your cd, but you want to know why it took a fansite to receive any help instead of receiving help from the source? They are indeed a sad bunch at the NPGMC, but at the same time you do not have the right to be as mad as you are for not having received your cd when the text stated that you would not receive your cd until the next cd was shipped at the time you signed up. Just my thoughts.

Just my thoughts. I see your points and they're rational and pretty subjective. Unfortunately, my thoughts are tinged with irrationality and are completely objective. Maybe I need to take a few minutes and sit in the time-out corner. MEANWHILE, I have a hard time not feeling angry at being jerked around by NPGMC's quote-unquote "support staff" (redundant, I know, but I'm typing it the way I'd say it...can you see me doing the "quote" thing with my fingers? good.), when they could have/should have told me a LONG time ago that my CD would be coming with the next music club release. I have half a dozen responses from them, saved in my e-mail. Not ONCE is this provision mentioned. In fact, their responses led me to believe that they were still sending out additional "waves" throughout the summer. What I'm saying here is that I've been getting mixed messages all summer, and my simple request for a simple answer has been met with a commitment to confusion. I don't care if the stipulation about "waves" was engraved on Prince's moonwrap - clearly the NPGMC staff has joined me in the small group of participants in this "xperiment of truth" who managed to zone out on the shipping policies.
