I seriously doubt that it would b that soon as they would have 2 await a judgement from the governing committee. First of all, We have always *lived* in the real world... Stop the stupid, Sheep following their master shit, it's getting old... and tired. U don't know me... or else U'd know that I am no one's sheep, understand?
Prince is not a GOD, he is a Man... yes, there is MORE 2 the story - but if U took 2 seconds 2 read all that I put up, U will see that this is far more than a club. This could affect the NPG label eventually. And maybe Prince is just dang tired of fighting people's stupid assinine lawsuits and he will go retire somewhere, but the thing is that whatever music would have,or has been published under the banner of "NPG" could b caput. I have never seen such bitterness... and ppl thought those of us that played in the Member's Connection were screwy? Puh-leese! Hey, I am not talking about a million member march - I am talking about giving a company a little hell 4 a minute... I am talking that MORE than likely the NPGMC probably had no choice 2 close the minute that letter was in their hands or face even bigger problems legally set forth in the letter.. GET me? The letter was mailed 2 them late on the eve of a National Holiday 2 force their hand and make them comply without any chance of asking 4 an extension of the use of the name NPG until the date of determination... it's a underhanded trick that A LOT of lawyers will readily admit 2 using. I mean, Come on... U wanted a reason, U got one - whatever the hell else is going on, as it does NOT apply 2 us, is NONE of our business. And a little FYI, Most of us r out here in the real world working 2 make peoples lives BETTER - and that says a wrong is a WRONG. Okay, now that part bothers me. You mean if they won, anything associated with NPG, including the music is----GONE? Yes, I know there's a lot going on in the world, but that should bother any fan. I don't feel too comfortable with the lawsuit on our part, only because I don't know how Prince and his camp feel about it. Its tough because as you say, they probably can't speak about it. I'm more inclined to do a letter writing campaign to the HIM. NOT HATE MAIL OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. Just letting them know much the music means to us and the negative impact it may have.
