1. Anyone who wants to join the Org is welcome as long as they abide by the site's rules.
2. If you have been banned from either NPGMC and/or the Org, you are welcome too (with the mods permission, of course) but let the past be the past.
3. The Org is the Org. Don't expect Prince to be treated like he was on the NPGMC. And leave Bart to me.

The NPGMC members are here because we love Prince. We are not "slumming it" or crawling back. Most of us never left. We watched both sites. Unfortunately prince.org can't provide us with front row seats, Celebration tickets, or a handshake with Prince, but it does provide the close-knit, yet ever-profane family we just lost as NPGMC goes on hiatus. I am sure the club will return in another form, with a new life and new perks. When and how is the question!

here.....but i didnt go under name MPLS Mike

the first six months of chat were pretty good...
people were very respectful of each other
i was a regular character there
but then the games began...
and i'd "watch" until i got bored
sometimes holding private chats with those who cared
even befriended one of the PPs this way
he let me see things in advance, which was cool
but i rarely posted anything these last couple years
the one forum that should've gotten the most use
had the least visits per day
most everyone else played the role of an infomercial audience member
fake smiles, fake applause
the same kind they give larry when he shows up at a party
the club should've kept us busy with more musical interaction
...creating our own songs and arrangements
that was fun while it lasted
things like that got us focused
more things to DO would've been better (cf. L4OA)
but in the end, the harmony broke down
and there wasn't much left but noise
hopefully next time our ACTions will speak louder than words

I think what you see is Karma bitin' some of those NPGMCers in the ass. Prince will open up another site and I hope that the same weirdness and division doesn't occur. Its just dumb to have such division in a fan community and I think that's why you're getting the sarcasm from some of those who call the ORG home most of the time.

The one thing I will say about the Org vs NPGMC, the ORG doesn't pretend to be anything but the sarcastic, sometimes mean,cynical group of folks we've ALWAYS been. I've found that the club wanted to be Org-lite but on too many occasions was worse mainly because of hypocrisy. You can't hate something and envy it at the same time. That's insanity.

I just found that the attitude of the club was the division in the fan community, not the org, hq, holy river, glamslam or princefams. I could freely go from one of those sites to the next, peacefully.

So I welcome you BUT I think Karma is a beeyatch.

Even on the day the plug was pulled on NPGMC, there was quite a lot of flaming going on and threads created about people to make people feel stupid.

However, that is either here not there, the Org is the Org, and HQ is HQ, both has its benefits. We'll see what NPGMC will have in store for us.
