here's what *I HOPE* happens.

i hope he's knocking down his big ol' sand castle to build something even better on the beach.

i hope his next online incarnation is the result of his decision to once again release music 100% independently, but this time with a better business plan and the aspiration to create an actual self-sustaining (as much as that can happen for him) LABEL of his own.

he's got all the vault material and he's always got new material that he knows his fanbase will always buy. if tamar's album works out well, maybe he'll get the itch to start bringing more new acts on board like back in the paisley days, only maybe this time more care will go into publicizing them and creating better quality products.

maybe the site will be for a more fully realized NPG Records enterprise. if so, i hope he knocks it off with the club membership stuff and opens discussion forums and/or chats to the general public without charging a fee for it. i ESPECIALLY hope he doesn't keep news updates locked behind a pay-for-play gate.

hopefully the download option will still exist.

but i'd LOVE to see him start his own label and do it with the same good business sense as was employed for the musicology tour. he needs to have another talk with londell!

Sorry, but NPGMC was a LAME site for news and rarities... the preachy vibe was a HUGE TURN-OFF... a visual headache as well... Wont miss it a bit... Lets hope our Award Winner took notes recently on what most of his $upporter$ would like from an official club.

Don't fret. You know Prince is one that enjoys playing
mind games. I don't think it's officially over, reflect back
on the few songs he played in the reflection room and in 3121 room
even though he played--Goodbye songs--in the 3121 room he had played
"It aint ova" so I think it's a big clue there. Once again
sit back and relax because soon Time will Reveal what Prince
really has up his sleeves. I think it's something funky.

But just in case the club doesn't return, I enjoyed the ride,
just reflecting on the memories we can now wonder what the direcion of the
club is heading ,but for now we can think what valuable time we are going to have now that the NPG club is gone... spend it on a new hobby, reading, talking
to your child , catching up on chores, reading the bible, yard work,
talking to your mate, time on yourself, you get the idea.[/color]
