I could tell by the color of Ur energy field
U thought this game was over chemical peel [chemic appeal?]
U try 2 do me like my good brother Steve
But I got another funky trick up my sleeve
Expecting me 2 freak on U a little bit more
But U get nothin’ but well-wishers and flowers galore!
I mean no harm, I still got Ur back
U can come and drink my wine, as a matter of fact

Just Feel Better (Feel Better) , Feel Good, (Feel Good) (hey!), Feel Wonderful!
Feel Better (Feel Better) , Feel Good, (Feel Good), Feel Wonderful!

I don’t know what U thought when U spit in my face
But this dimension ain’t not the time or the place
I don’t know who told U U could stand next `2 me
But I got a guitar that could part a sea
Don’t mean no disrespect I aint tryin’ 2 brag
But it might be the same 1 that tapped on the crack
And it brought forth water that quenched Ur thirst
And we’ll keep feeding ya, but first things first!

Feel Better (Feel Better) , Feel Good, (Feel Good), Feel….

Sorry, but that song sounds a little weak...just not a catchable melody. But that is only the first listen and maybe it would grow on me in its completed form. Always nice to hear new music from the man though.

Aw, Rhon, you know Prince fans; they can suck a lemon dry.

To me, a song speaks to me or not. Sure I got an opinion on any of them, but in the end it is all about that certain quality that keeps you playing a jam in 20 years.

I think this one is exactly what it seems; a nice funk jam. Like I said; it sure gets my head bopping.

Love them vocals too. And at );47 into the snippet you get this break with that Gett Off-ish flute. I love that shit.

Love the bass, love the synths on this. Love the freaky lyrics, the boombastic beat. Bring on that 12" version, Mr Nelson!

The pic is, of course, © Prince/NPGmc.

Hehehe, will you at least let Prince release the ENTIRE jam, please?

Or let him make fan-inspired remixes NEXT to this jam? Cuz I want him to let Sheila E. do percussion on this BAD. Mmmm'kay?

I really like what we've got so far. I don't see any need to change anything, the beauty of Prince is that we have so much variety. Leave it raw and don't over egg the cake.

I agree. Yet there's always room for more guitar wailing whenever Prince plays. woot!

No, I wasn't aware. I just got back from Malaysia and saw this thread. Now I'm off to listen to it, buoyed by the positive feedback posted on this thread. I'm expecting it to be great, and should it not be so I will direct my disappointment squarely at the people on this thread. smile

Aside from its relative rawness, there really isn't anything remotedly special about this track. I'm afraid that, at this point, the only thing that could wow people and fans alike is a genuine rock album.

I just realized how phallic the golden microphone(?) in the foreground is.
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Yeah I also think it's cool as is, the raw-ness of it, is nice. A guitar solo somewhere is always welcome:)

Did someone piss him off at one of these last appearances? Wondered what inspired it?

Excited to hear the entire jam

there's no doubt that this track is a throwaway, right? seems like anything offered as a "demo" on npgmc doesn't see the light of day as an album track.

with prince, his throwaways sometimes get resurrected, in part or in full, as an actual song. he's got a bit of a track record when it comes to that. i wouldn't say that he's gonna totally bin it...
