no, it's just a one time fee of $25. you don't get a whole lot, but you get discounts on downloads and merchandise, and you (typically) get first dibs on concert tickets, and other goodies now and then. it's been worth it for me.

If there's a tour, you'll be glad you joined! If there isn't, well, let's just pray that there is one. wink

that must have been prior to 2003, when they had the yearly memberships.

and this weekend, if you have member tickets, you will get to see the soundchecks....where you are let in to the venue a few hours early with the other members.....and then Prince usually plays a few songs for you that are not part of the setlist for the real show.....and if he's in the mood, he will chat with the members....it's priceless

in the begining of the club for a $100 a year there used to be a 1 hour radio show with new music and videos each month.. that went on for a while.. then they went to $100 and they were going to do something special for members.. so all the members got ONA prince on piano... then we all got ONA boxset... if u were a member during that tyme your membership was extended to unlimited what is like now.

For a while there during the ONA tours they were allowing so many tix and people to the sound checks. if there was an after show planned and u were a member and got your tix thru the club your name was automatically put on the guess list for the aftershow part.. tho your friend would have to pay and those were tix were $25 maybe more depending where u went..

what u get now? (shrug) i saved $25 bux on my tix to the vegas show since i didnt have to buy them thru ticketmaster.. they also gave us a soundcheck to the first 300 people thru the door which was nice. ive boughten enough stuff from the store that ive saved more then $25..
if u r in the states i would say get it.. outside.. kinda iffy but if u are going to buy things.. why not..

[b][i]Degraded. Ignored, Pissed-off, could turn u off to Prince entirely, because of the sychophants that hang there. Stay Here. The 22% savings does not dent a ticket price when it's 312.01$ per tic. U would have 2 re- mortgage your house 2 buy tics 4 u & a couple friends.312.01$ SICKENING. I would'nt pay 300$ to have HIM play in my garage!!! P's DC

I'm sorry you feel that way, however don't think you should blame Prince for what goes on in the message board. Alot of the members do have that "mayor of the block" attitude, but I just ignore them. I only log on for upcoming Prince news, downloads and some retail stuff. I would never get emotionally involved over a bunch of strangers. I'm there for the music for Prince, I could care less about those people.

Your statement on ticket pricing is misleading. Yes, the Vegas show was expensive. However, I saw Prince a few months ago for a member price at $31 whereas folks where paying almost $80 at ticketmaster for the same show. Let's not forget Musicology tour which was reasonably priced and members got first dibs on the front row seats. As member, your entitled to closer seats, sometimes cheaper ticket prices and for general shows, members are let in first, sometimes for sound checks. I just don't think its fair to use one show in Vegas as an example to downplay member benefits, when there are so many other examples where membership did have it's benefits.

Hey Bro, U have no reason to apologise 4 anything!I was not aiming that rant at anyone but the DILDOS with the superiority copmplex at the "club". That place makes Me Bitter. I can't tolerate Ignorance! U should Treat others with respect, as u would want to b treated. Somewhere the Elite? at the "club" have lost that concept!!!I'm a musician U probably know and I would never treat a fan-friend-homeless person -whomever the way they do over there at the ole "club" As far as shows,I can't really go to many, 4 non- monetary reasons, there are other issues. But I caught Prince at an after-show gig, phenomenal, and saw Him years ago when He charged 45.00 4 a great seat and the show was kick-ass!!! P's-Luv-Light . i piad $100 a couple of tymes.. i got the box set and i got the piano cd twice.. then i got changed over to the unlimited for free..

musicology tour i got my tix for $75.. $10 less then the the regular tix and with out the $15 service charge.. so right there is worth the $25...

i did goto vegas and the $25 was less then the service charge if u would bought the tix thru ticketmaster.

i dont care if they did add the soundcheck because it wasnt selling good.. but damn it was worth it to me.. and i was close enough to grab his guitar if i wanted to.. the show was simply amazing. and the sound check was mind blowing..

if u are going to buy stuff at the retail store its cheaper for members. but people keep complaing about the vegas shows.. it was 2 fn shows.. DONT GO IF U DONT WANT TO PAY.. stop the whinning.. the show sold out without u there anyways...

and as for the price of the fan club .. its $25 unlimited.. u know most artist charge $25 a year.. freakin prince changed it to unlimited and people still bitchin..

how is it a person will buy a $400 dollar record that they will never play but bitch that prince is charing $320 for a concert?

You know, I agree with you completely about the $100 NPGMC, which I joined in 2002. It was terrific and really worth the money - especially when you also got those two wonderful download albums, Xpectation and CNote. I saw two Rainbow Children tour shows, plus one free aftershow in London. The box set was great, as was the piano album.

You can't complain about the current version. $25.00 as a one off fee is good value for what you're getting - first bite at concert seats and downloads at a reduced price. Just don't go onto U Smell Us because you'll lose your faith in humanity. lol
There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently
