People who post scary amounts on the NPGMC boards...

is there anyone who does that who also posts here?

I was looking at some threads just now, and noticed a woman who joined in March 2003, who is approaching 36,000 posts! I worked out its an average of nearly 33 A DAY for THREE FUCKING YEARS!

Now consider the lulls in prince activity, where theres nothing much to talk about (particularly on a censored board like the npgmc) - isn't that quite weird?

No offence or anything, but damn! 36 THOUSAND!

Whats the most anyone on this board has posted? I'm only on 916 and I've been here 2 years! smile On the NPGMC I'm probably on less than 50 in an entire year, over a year in fact...

Some of those scary NPGMC posters have made it on to here too. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I'm sorry but no, it isn't scary. The most beloved people from the Org have tens of thousands of posts.

If it makes those people happy, what does it matter to anyone else?

who cares what other people do with their spare time? some may think it's "scary" that people make threads about how much other people post on other web sites.

lol It's scary that it takes so long for me to enter and access the site that my idea of what to post is long gone by the time I get in.

Some people have nothing better to do with their time. Others suffer from logorrhoea. We know who they are. wink

People do say a lot of fucked things here but it wouldn't be fair to say that no weirdness exists on NPGMC. Both have members that take it to one extreme or another.

36,000 isn't the most
another girl & guyy have over 40,000
a couple more are in between
all are club "regulars"

the March 23 2003 date is just the date the forums began; most ppl with that date joined npg years before.

the posts are that high b/c people dont talk about prince all day; nearly everything but prince
some days he doesn't come up at all haha

and some people's jobs require that they be online all day
if you can multi-task, why not? wink

It's from posting little responses like "Thanks" every time a PP starts a thread with some tidbit of info. People do that at HQ too. You can have a thread with 100 posts most of which read, "Thanks" or "Cool." I don't notice it as much here--probably b/c you actually have to go into someone's profile to see how many posts they have so it's not as much of an ego thing, I guess; whereas at NPG & HQ it's next to one's avatar & so some people feel that a lot of posts = bigger fan.

I have never seen post counts like the NPGMC message boards. It isn't just one or two people with thousands of posts... I just noticed it yesterday myself... its crazy.

There are folks here who top that. Thing is those folks are posting mostly in the GD forum...where as the person you describe is probably talking all about Prince,

No, she posts mainly in Members over there. The nicest person you would ever want to meet and the fact that she is not here to defend herself is reason enoug to delete this thread.

I think it's scarier to keep track of how somebody else posts. nod

I was talking in general..and it appears this thread is about no one in particular.

But OK so they have a NPGMC'er who is akin to one of our own who used to post a lot and is the sweetest thing.

I wasn't making the last comment to you spacey. biggrin

This thread is about someone in particular and even if it wasn't, it should be deleted.
