With Tamar, DJ Rashida & now the Twinz, it seems that Prince is not "back" alone but also want 2 recreate an bunch of protégés like he used 2 have back in the days... Note that all the sites seem 2 have been made by the same person.

Why do they wait so long to release the Brits performance? Every man, woman and dog has already recorded it that wants it. shrug

I'm guessing BBC America had the right of first U.S. broadcast, which was this past Saturday. Many people, myself included, tuned in just to catch him perform on a big tv in perfect quality blasting through a stereo.
If I could have downloaded it weeks ago, I would never have watched.

well...I just watched it for the first time, and I thought it was pretty damn awesome! I don't think she looks cheesed out at all...just excited. You should prolly step back awhile...if something as simple as that "irks" you. to call it horrid is just a bit much I think.

umm..dr. phill, why are you analyzing me? lol

cheesed, excited..whatever you want to call it, she was not acting out the song..to give you an example, wendy (at a much younger age) felt purple rain during the film...she was expressing the emotion of the song through her music and her facial expression...so when prince kisses her, she reacts in a manner that fits the song...Tamara on the other hand cheesed (or as you say, excited) out...

IMHO, she's horrid...she's fine in the rest but her presence weights down the Purple Rain version...IMHO...

You're comparing a scene in a film that may have taken several takes to get right, to a live performance. neutral

That is interesting she bothered you... I remember thinking that she sounded a LOT nicer and more respectful than her old buddy Beyonce back on the Grammys, and how Prince and Tamar obviously love singing together. I thought she sounded beautiful, it accentuated W&L without overshadowing their presence.

Not saying you're wrong of course. I thought Purple Rain (for the first time in a long time) was done true justice at the Brits.

Well... it was cool enough to see, but they were both just kind of yelling if you ask me... there were more vocal issues than usual. It seemed like they were both in HYPE MODE (look at us, we're singing together) and not worrying too much about harmonizing.
