$5.40 for Standard shipping (Arrival 7-10 business days after the release date)
$9.98 for Standard Expedited (Arrival 5-7 business days after the release date)
$13.60 for Express shipping (Guaranteed for arrival on release date)

I think I'll spend the 50 cents in gas to drive across street to the wrecka stow come 3/21.

I don't mind handing Prince my $$$ when it comes to a new release, but 13.60 is a pack of huggies.

No one is asking you to pay that postage so why complain?

It has been rumoured that there are only 8 tickets on offer - and 7 are going to be for US residents only, and 1 for Europe.

I've always wondered how they could control this, since someone could buy it on holiday in the US but actually live in another country, for instance. Perhaps all the purple tickets will only be in albums sent via the npgmc? They would have members addresses on file, so they could make sure the tickets don't end up in the hands of someone who lives in outer Mongolia and have to fork out fro the plane tickets...?

Not complaining at all! I was just pointing out, I'd prefer to pay the artist directly, but at that shipping price, I'll skip it this time and drive myself to the store.

If anything I was pointing out in my following post for those who would complain, to weigh it as "valet" type luxury service and there's other options to get it on the release day. If it's in your budget to get both the album and the pin from NPGMC, then by all means support the artist directly. If not, walk your ass to the store, I'll be right behind you.

hmmm Actually, it looks like there will be one purple ticket in Japan, too.

I gave in and pre-ordered, because I'm a sucker for Prince merchandise! If I don't get the purple ticket, I may end up buying another copy in the store. I'm really going to have to control myself, and not buy a whole case!

You can practically afford two albums from the wreka sto, and increase your chances of getting the purple ticket, for the price of the fastest express shipping. Buying in store not only let's you enjoy the warm glee of all the other brighteyed bushy tailed ones picking up their albums in store, but as a bonus you get to enjoy a certain twisted sense of pleasure watching the excited looks of hope turned to crushing defeat on the faces of those opening their cds immediatlely, looking for the purple ticket and not finding it.

But go ahead, just buy one online, pay double for one ... increase my chances of getting the purple ticket.

Thank you in advance.
