Get a load of this. From the npgmc. Concert Tickets for the TRUE fans Can you believe it? http://www.npgmusicclub.c...p?t=127231 A thread titled: Wouldn't it be cool...; A couple quotes by the author "If NPGMC concert ticket seating was assigned by how long you've been a member?" "My point is that ALL member seats are great, however for $25 bucks, I think that anyone who has access to the internet now and IS a fan will be a member alreaady, and should get better treatment than someone that hears that Prince is going on tour and will log in to his website to beat the boxoffice and may take the seat of someone who truely IS a fan. U know those peeps that go to EVERY concert whether they like the artist or not." This is some funny shit going on over there

Actually that kind of makes sense - to give preference to people who support an artist when they aren't on tour.

it's just someone's thoughts.... big f'n deal. "not a fan" yeah...ok

well, it would discourage new people from joining, so if that's what npgmc is going for, then it's a fabulous idea.

Well if it means the difference between 3rd row or 30th - I don't think it would discourage people from joining at all. Club tickets are all guaranteed to be in the front - gotta take your chances with the box office.

hmmmm...for some reason i doubt they could figure all that out....but it would be nice for those of us that became a member when it was $100.....

This is some funny shit going on over there that's not true, i have access to the net and am not a member coz i don't have access to $$ the npgmc and i think that if you member for longer then you shouldn't get priority seats or extra seat deals with npgmc, if anyone then the newest members should be given priority. there's enough for everyone, don't be fooled [Edited 12/14/05 17:45pm]

Everytime the hint of a tour is in the air this topic comes up at the NPGMC. I'm firmly planted in denial

If you joined their rubbish $100 for nothing at all online fanclub (in other words, if you paid $100) last year you got to be the first to buy tickets at presale for their current tour, which meant seats in the first ten rows of a stadium. If you joined this year the presale entitled you to tickets in the next twenty rows after that. Oh, and the tickets were £150.00 each. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Sell high priced tickets to members who paid higher priced membership. What gratitude does that show to the fans?

well, whatever my status was last time around, i ended up with some sweet seats. as long as my luck persists, i don't care what their new rule is.

I got first row in 2002. Anyway they should go back to $100 a year and 4 free cds.

Damn that! I say if they go back to $100.00 memberships then we should get FREE concert tickets!

Indeed. That was a good system, and the free stuff we got was superb - Xpectation and C-Note in particular. Oh, and the 2002 tour was the best I'd seen since the Lovesexy tour. For those who didn't bother to read the actual post, it was a hypothetical "what kind of membership would you like" poll posted by one NPGMC member to other members. Someone even pointed that out early on in this thread, but no one seems to see that. open yo mind, the entire universe you'll find

That's because it's not really hypothetical at all. It's a sinister plan on the part of Prince and his drones to alienate even more of his badly depleted, long-suffering, near exasperated, utterly exhausted fanbase. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Wow! Great! So, I´m a NPGMC Member from the first Time! So I can get some xclusive Tickets for the next "World Tour" like the Tour in 2005? So, the only problem is, that I live in Vienna, Austria! And the so called "World Tour" is always in USA. The last Concert I saw was in Berlin, that´s not around the corner. Great Idea, but I don´t really care!
It´s difficult enough for me to get the latest releases from Prince. Peace

It´s difficult enough for me to get the latest releases from Prince. Peace Hey he went to Canada too! Don't worry he'll be back over there soon enough. Hell ya'll got to see him plenty in the 90's. It was our turn last year.

For all we know, those that joined recently and have not supported him over the years might outnumber the more loyal fans. From a business standpoint, it would not be very smart.

Ah, but you never see business smarts and Prince together. You know why? Because they never meet. Prince has done so much to piss off and alienate his fanbase since he left WB that it's become the only thing he's been consistently good at. There are three sides to every story.
