Actually that kind of makes sense - to give preference to people who support an artist when they aren't on tour.

it's just someone's thoughts.... big f'n deal.

well, it would discourage new people from joining, so if that's what npgmc is going for, then it's a fabulous idea.

hmmmm...for some reason i doubt they could figure all that out....but it would be nice for those of us that became a member when it was $100.....

Everytime the hint of a tour is in the air this topic comes up at the NPGMC.

well, whatever my status was last time around, i ended up with some sweet seats. as long as my luck persists, i don't care what their new rule is.

I got first row in 2002. Anyway they should go back to $100 a year and 4 free cds.

For those who didn't bother to read the actual post, it was a hypothetical "what kind of membership would you like" poll posted by one NPGMC member to other members. Someone even pointed that out early on in this thread, but no one seems to see that.

Wow! Great! So, I´m a NPGMC Member from the first Time! So I can get some xclusive Tickets for the next "World Tour" like the Tour in 2005? So, the only problem is, that I live in Vienna, Austria! And the so called "World Tour" is always in USA. The last Concert I saw was in Berlin, that´s not around the corner. Great Idea, but I don´t really care!

It´s difficult enough for me to get the latest releases from Prince.

Interesting idea, but considering that NPGMC doesn't disclose the amount of members, there is no telling how many people joined during the Musicology tour. For all we know, those that joined recently and have not supported him over the years might outnumber the more loyal fans. From a business standpoint, it would not be very smart.
