Are you a REAL true Princefan? This is how you know You know, "the ones that party on the lawn in the middle of a snow storm... not the ones who wait for a clear day".
I found this statement really funny! I got this statement from a member of the npgmc in a thread about from a member complaining about disappointment with the club. Another member says the regular fans are "the ones that party on the lawn in the middle of a snow storm .. not the ones who wait for a clear day". I take it JUST because we don't post 24/7 means we are less relevant fans. I copied and pasted part of the conversation in the thread MemberOne wrote: "Um, the regulars would like to know... who are you people?" Member two wrote: "I guess the answer to that question lies within yours... What are considered "regulars"?? If that means those of you who frequent these boards, then I understand. But, even though I haven't made many posts here, I can assure you I am a "regular" when it comes to P and his art... " Have a good day!! Member One wrote (back): "Yes those of us who frequent these boards. Not the ones that only come around when there is a release or a concert... the ones that party on the lawn in the middle of a snow storm... not the ones who wait for a clear day." them people are really hooked on themself as "regular" members.

"Yes those of us who frequent these boards. Not the ones that only come around when there is a release or a concert... the ones that party on the lawn in the middle of a snow storm... not the ones who wait for a clear day." ... Oh geez, I guess hanging around and posting on the NPGMC forums is tough work..."a dirty job but someone's gotta do it"! The attitudes and attacks from some of the regulars there is the precise reason why some people stay away from those forums. Do I also detect a sense of entitlement, whether intended or not? I guess some folks really DO expect that they're somehow going to be especially rewarded someday/someway? Or even one step further, that they think they DESERVE Prince's personal attention or something? Is that why they're at the forums? WTF, it's just a discussion forum, it shouldn't have to be a way of life. I joined the Club FOR the ticket presales and exclusive downloads, not for the forums. I paid my fee, I'll go there as often or as seldom as I wish. Maybe some people are upset because they find they're NOT getting any special treatment as Club members, despite all the time and energy they've invested at the forums? "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

VERY well said CandaceS. What this member is basically saying to the other is, because they post more which would show their presents means they deserve answers or special attention. And, those who joined JUST FOR THE TICKETs and downloads have no say, rights or that their presents there has no validity. This seems to be the attitude of the "regulars" and I agree, makes one not want to go there and takes the enjoyment out of visiting Prince official site. I was also suprised that one of the PPs/Mods made no effort in addressing that comment. And it's those "regulars" that do get catered to, unfortunatly. But you are right, because in the end, there are no rewards .. But maybe a crown displaying #1 Fanatic
