Jennifer Garner decided she was gonna leave and they didn't wanna do it without her. The show may not have the ratings, but it sells a shit ton in DVD rentals and sales. Cancelled is cancelled. Done is done. They are not always the same. Ending a run is not always being cancelled.

At the risk of taking this thread even further off-topic (and let's redirect it back to the video after this so we don't get the thread locked), ABC certainly seems to be trying to kill off Alias - for the last two seasons they've switched the night of the week it's shown (including starting season 4 in January instead of September) - at the beginning of this season they also switched the time, and now, in mid-season and after a two-week break (without re-runs) they've switched it from Thursday at 8pm to Wednesday at 10pm - even this wouldn't be so bad except that it's only on for another two weeks before going on hiatus until March! And they're showing these two episodes after re-reuns of Lost, instead of after new episodes, where at least there would be some follow-on...

The writers and producers of Alias haven't given it much help over the last 18 months either. The show jumped the shark with ignoring the Wittenberg papers and creating APO.

Regardless, I like Mia Maestro and it's pretty cool to see my favorite show somehow connected with Prince.

i was a ravenous alias fan for the first three seasons. last season totally lost me. the writing just took a sharp drop to crap valley. as far as i'm concerned, when they brought SD6 down, it was the end of the series. when spy mom left the show the first time, that was REALLY the end.

Alias' fate was a combo of a few things...The January Start wasn't too good. The day flip flop wasn't good either. Jennifers Pregnancy also messed witht he show. It also started getting a bit silly and "in the know" by making her nemisis her DAD and bringing in her sister and lover. Being after Lost, they had a great opportunity to garner (ha ha) a new audience, but I felt like I had to know all the characters.

I'm awfully glad that he has come back and with a Spanish-titled song! I can't wait to see "Te Amo Corazon" because, for one I won't need subtitles. Good going Prince, as always U rule and we all love U 4 it!
