I thought this might be of interest, the PP's have updated the forum rules for Member Connection and appear to be very serious about enforcing the rules.

Here's a copy and paste of the PP statements:

PP8: "This forum is 2 share news of 4thcoming member gatherings and get 2 know one another. It's not an anything-goes forum, and we have been xtremely lenient with certain posts here. We dig it that u all like 2 have fun, but keep it within the guidelines so everyone can injoy the xperience.

BASIC GUIDELINES:

The NPGMC does not allow swearing in any 4m. This includes misspelled cuss words, use of xtra spacing 2 spell cuss words, etc. Disrespecting others; posting hateful, offensive or racist remarks or images; or posting images and text otherwise not suitable 4 all viewers r also not welcome here.

Doing any of the above will result in a 5-day ban. Those who continually abuse the 4ums or chat could lose their posting priveleges permanently.


Posts begging 4 banned members 2 b reinstated will b deleted. Those folx will b reinstated after their 5-day suspension. Posts complaining about bannings will also be deleted.

Posts trying 2 stir up unrest or cause drama or will also b deleted.

Attacking others over one's own perceived (and not real) drama is pointless. It drags down the entire NPGMC commUNITY. The NPGMC is a place of positive vibe where we can laugh, learn, injoy and share interesting topix with one another. There r loads of threads 2 get in2; if one of them doesn't float ur boat, find one that does instead of sinking someone else's. Remember, others have just as much right 2 post online as u. Rudeness, nastiness, hatred and drama r 2 b left at the door (or better yet, left 4 good).

We would prefer not 2 ban anyone.

as a retail outlet and a source for the best concert tickets, i wouldn't call it "bad". i think they have a lot of fun extras too, like cyberclips and some of the photo albums in the backstage pass area.

the message forums, however, have been another story. i do think they've been improving steadily over the past year or so, but i've always noticed that, among other things, a few members over there know how to ruin it for everyone else on the club's boards.

I've been a member of the club since year one and could count on one hand the number of times I've posted or bothered to read anything over there...guess that I lead a happy and simple life.

I joined the npgmc site, was browsing the forums. I see members with thousands of posts? Is that normal? It was strange. I have been to several other music sites and have seen fans but there seem to be some real hardcore fans there. I am talking THOUSANDs of posts. I saw one member going on 40,000 posts and another just at 30,000.
