I remember there was that 'Something big is coming' at the npgmc a few years back. Most people took this 'cryptic' message to mean a new album - but it just turned out to be a revamp of the website design.
The fact a new album is going to be released by Prince is a given. The only thing of interest is 'when'. I just hope 'Count the days' doesn't turn into 'count the months'. | |

in retrospect, i took that "something big" hype campaign as their response to plotting out the musicology album and tour. i'm guessing around the time the "something big" graphic hit the club site, they were in the first stages of planning, and realizing how large in scope they wanted to make the whole project. in other words, i think it was more of a self-congratulatory/moral-boosting gesture for folks at NPG/paisley park than an attention call to the fans (though i'm sure it was certainly meant as that, too). just my thoughts. | |
