And since when is it important where the rest of Prince's bandmates are? He's entirely capable of recording a whole album alone, you know. In fact he's rather famous for it. He only needs the band around him when it comes to performing the songs - and even if he released an album now, it might be months before he actually started promoting it, such is the crazy backwards way Prince often works...

I think that after this last period of hibernation lots of us fans are wondering if Prince plans to come out and play for us any time soon.
Prince could put on a one man band performance anytime that would excite many of us. Adding new band members or keeping the same ones would be good newz because it hints that some new tunes might be on the way.
