Glam Slam room treading water

How come the song in the Glam Slam room on Npgmc is "family name." No remix, no changes just the song as is from the album? Not that I feel that cheated, the remixes have been pretty lame lately. Just wondering.

I just recently joined NPGMC. I don't regret it but I do think the songs they put on there are kinda lame, especially considering how much stuff Prince is supposed to have in the vault. Most of us who are NPGMC members already have these songs.

The stuff in the Glam Slam room and Reflection are not intended for download, but since there is a way to retrieve the files anyway, I'm sure that Prince will not put anything in there of any rarity. Unless he has future plans to release the tune. Most of the Vault tunes will never see the light of day. Ever.

So hang onto those boots, they're special.

The reflection room tracks are supposed to be a 'reflection', a look back at songs from Prince's career in the past. So that's why you don't get new tracks - if he put out an unreleased vault track, even if it was recorded in the past it would still technically be 'new'.

As for Glam Slam, it doesn't really have a particular criteria other than to put out a different extra track every weekend - nowhere does it say it has to be special or extended or a remix, it just happens that occasionally that's what they've chosen to put up ,so people have now come to expect a remix or something extra.

As time goes by, I'm ever more convinced that this is the truth! confused
