But still, I think it's worth joining if you're planning to buy concert tickets or something, which is kind of out of the question at the moment. Otherwise don't waste your money.

It is doubtful there will be soundchecks anymore so if that is what you are looking for the answer is no.

this question gets asked over and over again.

but, you have to look at it from this perspective:
first, it only cost $25 for a lifetime memberhip (not annually renewable), you can't take a date to the dinner or the movies for that anymore.

second, when tours do occur (like musicology), when you buy your tix through the club, not only do you get the premium seats....you also don't pay the sales tax or the service fees that other companies like ticket bastard charge....so, it basically all evens out in the wash.

third, when you purchase new music, you get a discount, and again, if you purchase enough, it all evens out in the wash.

i already earned back way more than my $25 membership fee by way of ticketmaster fees i didn't have to pay last year. i could probably have paid for three or four memberships with all the fees i skipped by paying direct via NPGMC. i'd advise folks to get memberships well in advance of the next tour so you'll be prepared to order early and beat the rush.

I think I've nearly made my money back purely from purchasing music from the store. Assuming he releases at an even remotely regular schedule I think it's well worth it. Not to mention the VIP room streams, which are occasionally pretty nice.

Back in the day when I spent $100 on the club, now that didn't seem worth it...
