"Need To Purchase License" error message

I downloaded "SST" and "Brand New Orleans" last night. This morning, when I tried to burn them to disc, I received an error message that read "Need To Purchase License". Isn't purchasing the song, in fact, purchasing the license? Please help a pc illiterate gal. Thank you!

Same here. I've downloaded United States of D. The file wont work without a licence. I cant burn it. But i'm sure there is a solution.

My problem is solved. When you download from NPGMC you must first play the file in MEdia Player. After that you can burn it to Cd etc.

Heres my problem:
I get the songs up to the point of burning the cd & I press burn.
The player burns it for about a minute & then it stops.
The player displays a message that says its a buffering problem & I should record at a lower speed.
Problem is I'm already recording at the lowest speed listed (4X).
The only way to get Roxio with lower speed is to buy the upgrade for $70.
Anyone got a different solution for this?
I have downloaded numerous times in the past from NPGMC & no problem. sad

Update: I also emailed Windows Media Player for their ideas.
I can't seem to get into NPGMC U TELL US for any help.
For some reason I just keep getting sent back to the main screen.

are you right clicking the download button then choosing "save target"? If not, you need to be downloading them this way to get the license.

I've got the licenses - thats not the problem. I wouldn't be at the BURN step if I hadn't gotten the green check to BURN. Its after I tell the Media Player what songs to burn & the player says go ahead & I tell it BURN that it starts & then Roxio gives me a message that says "buffering under run - use slower speed." I'm already using the slower speed. Or am I wrong - which is the slower speed 4X or 8X? Those are the only choices I get.

4X means 4 times faster than normal CD
8X means 8 times faster then normal CD

You need to check Help in your Roxio. Common errors or FAQ's regarding Buffering underrun. You might be able to change a setting in Roxio.

I think you need media player version 9 or higher.

I already have version 10.
I downloaded The Chocolate Invasion last March with no problems.
I can't imagine what has changed since then to give me these problems.
It burns about 2 minutes of SST & then stops.
I've wasted 5 blank cds trying every which way to burn the songs. sad

If you can play the files in your computer (can you?) looks like a hardware problem. You might want to try:

a) get everything ready and save the project in your ripping program. Then restart the computer and close all programs that may run in the background (mail, screensavers...). Open the project and burn. I'd suggest a CD-RW for the check and if it goes well you can do a disk copy.

or

b) uninstall and reinstall your CD drive firmware and drivers. Maybe there's a newer version.

Well let me ask another question.
I use my office computer for my NPGMC connection.
If I use my home computer to connect up to NPGMC do I need to do anything different or will everything work? Or do I need to contact NPGMC & tell them I moving locations?
I'm just thinking if I use a newer computer maybe my downloading problems will go PUFF.

First time you try to play the songs in another computer it will ask for your username and password to restore the licenses, That's all

I would completely uninstall and then reinstall the WMPlayer.
Then if you have the licenses somewhere i your hard disk you may import them back to the new player (in case you have more protected files besides the ones from the NPGMC). If it's only the Prince ones the licenses will install again after introducing username and password as explained before.
