"SST" is cool, though. That was a pleasant Sunday morning surprise and 99 cents is just so worth it. as someone who plunked down his twenty five bucks for a membership, yay rah for member-exclusive stuff! though i do hope they put 'brand new orleans' in the musicology store for another sale with proceeds going to charity. it's a nice little instrumental track, not to mention it's the second part of "sst". Membership has it's priveleges...I like the thought of S.S.T. and BrandNewOrleans as one track...in great quality of course. Again...kudos to Prince, and everyone else, for their efforts. We need 2 come 2gether...2gether as ONE We need 2 come 2gether, come 2gether as ONE

Anybody got a link, please
Hi, back from the weekend at my office desk, I usually check prince.org to see the files put up over the weekend. Boy, was I in for a surprise this morning. Like the new track. But alas, I can't get hold of the extended BNO. Can anybody please post a link (the ones posted in the other thread seems to be removed). And - yes I am a NPGMC member... Merci, amd

Good stuff. Now all I need is a uninterupted 10 minute version and the instrumental. Some people are like Slinkies...
They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Good stuff. Now all I need is a uninterupted 10 minute version and the instrumental. i think this could easily be done on Nero software, just by mixing the two tracks together with an overlap of, say, 10 seconds or so? i haven't had the time to fiddle with it yet, so if anyone has any tips on how to do this, please do let me know.

It is indeed an extension of SST. I just downloaded both songs 2day from the Musicology room. I just wish that they were all on 1 track, tho. Anyway, it's worth the money, member or non-member. I like it.

Indeed, and from the latest news from the NPGMC camp: Hello NPGMC, Over the weekend we added the new Cybersingle from Prince, "S.S.T." and now we've added "Brand New Orleans" 2 The Musicology Download Store as well. As we mentioned earlier, watching the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina's wrath, Sade's "Sweetest Taboo" was put on a loop. After which Prince wrote "S.S.T." early Friday morning, Sept 2nd, after staying up all night. He sang all the voices and played all the instruments. "Brand New Orleans" is the xtended jam at the end of "S.S.T." All instruments again by Prince. Just a lil somethin' 2 take away the blues. All proceeds from the sale of the cybersingles will go 2 Hurricane Relief. And 2 help in the effort, we have also made "U Will Be Moved" from Mavis Staples' CD The Voice 2 the Musicology Download Store. Written by Prince, a song 13 years ahead of it's time, available now 2 benefit Hurricane Relief. Much thanks 2 everyone who has already participated and helped spread the word. Anyone who purchased BNO, what is the sample rate on it? The version that was available in the VIP room was only 96 kbps, if the version for purchase is 192 kbps, I'll gladly drop down another 77 cents...

wow! this is soo cool. I had goose bumps when I was reading the e-mails this morning! I'm so excited that Prince is doing something for this tragedy! I didn't think he was going to do anything. Way to go Prince! I hope he considers wider distribution, like a CD single. "not a fan" yeah...ok
