Not sure if this has been brought up but I went to Cybeclips to check out the new stuff, and felt like wtaching the classic Partymen video.

Still cool albeit cheesy I was pretty annoyed to learn that he edited the girl screaming "you bastard look what you've done to my hair" Yep, it's now "You BIG TURD..."

So it's ok to spike the punch and kill a roomful of people, harass and abuse women, set them on fire, but if she says a (not even) swear word we got a problem with that?

It's like when I listen to reruns of Howard Stern they'll go and edit words like oral, orgasm, bitch and cum...but something like nigger is allowed a second time because really, it's not ofending anybody important.

Some people's perception of whats evil in this world is just fucked up.

I remember that edit back when the video was new i dont think NPGMC did it

this edit was in place long before the npgmc ever existed.

If I remember it right, wasn't there some backlash against Prince for that scene in the video. I think it was women's right groups, feminists, or something like that, complained about that scene, and they ended up changing it. That edit isn't recent, it happened back when the video came out.

I have video copiesof the ones that were aired over the years here in Canada and there was no edit.

As for the one on NPGMC they didnt take out any of the violent behaviour, just the word.

I noticed this same dynamic on several movies that were edited for television. It just goes to show that things never changed as much as some people will tell they have.
