You don't have to be a member to buy the music - the store is open to everyone, although members get a slight discount.

The memberships only benefit is in the past Prince has given preferential seating and admittance to aftershows and soundchecks to members.

I think this is more than worth the $25 membership - but that's really the only reason to join.

Getting the tickets before they go on sale was my main reason for joining, though U R restricted to 2 tickets per member I think. Springsteen sold out in 42 seconds over here so I don't want the hassle of losing out again if Prince comes.
The fee is $25 which isn't that much and I've already saved $15 on the amount I've downloaded so it's really just cost me $10 so far. For example an album download is $9.99 for non members and $7.77 for members. It just depends how big a fan you are and how much U intend to download. I had alot of catching up to do and it's mostly all good stuff. I'd especially recommend the war, the choclate invasion, slaughterhouse, C-note and one nite alone...piano and voice.

Edit: by the by I don't think I'll be using the forum over there 2 much. The one here works better.

Another question...I was just at the NPGMC site listening 2 C.Factory, but it only played was song from the album...is that how it is or is there a way to sample every song on an album? Thanks!

I see no reason for me to join. As far as concert tickets go, he doesn't tour that often. I don't live in a major city either so he never comes here either. I was just lucky last year that he came within three hundred miles of me but I would not be making that drive on a regular basis anyway.

Also, as far as unreleased music, it's always something he recently recorded or something he recorded in the 1990s. I want some early 1980s unreleased stuff. Another thing is you have to download the music. That takes time and a CD burner. If it were early 1980s unreleased stuff, I would go through the hassle but for recent Prince stuff, I don't think I'm missing out on anything.

They would throw you and me both out the first day.

I was a member before when there was an annual fee; helped me get a good spot during his Rainbow Children concert tour. I haven't join after my membership expired; he should extend the membership to those who at, one time, paid the annual fee. Actually, it should be FREE, darn it...considering he probably just uses that money to throw his parties in Bel Air and not even inviting his loyal fans...

I look at it this way. There are some artists, who don't really care about how much their fans pay to see them in concert. All they care about is just how much money they make and just how bright the pyro technics are at their show. When I see artist like, Madonna and Cher charging $300 a pop for tickets, it blows my mind. In my opinion, the reason why they have all of the glitz and glamour at their shows is because if they were to perform without these illusions,they would not be able to do this for very long.

Prince, is one artist who is able to perform without these things.He believes that music should be free or be fairly cheap, as long as you share with others. When I saw him in NY last year, he showed us how it is supposed to be done. No tricks or gimmicks. This alone was worth the prince of the fanclub. I am not even sure that you get all of what he is giving you with Madonna's club or if Cher even has a club.

This is the main reason why I joined. To hear and to see good music.
