Should I go or should I not Prince is coming in Montreal... the tickets are very expensive. NPGMC is cool, but I don't want to overload my VISA. And I already saw 2 Prince concert in my life. Should I go or not ? Is the soundcheck worth the extra $$$

_____ You know that you are going to max out your card anyway on clothes or restuarants or something, why not invest in the musical experience of your life!!!! You will never reret it. This concert is worth the extra money even without the soundcheck!

If U are in Montreal, I'd pick up this opportunity. Prince Loves Montreal. That show would be worth it. Did U see Prince at the Jazz Fest last summer? This may be a similar show...not sure...just a thought.

I think most of us fans max out credit cards or use our bill money for tickets (and souvenirs, music, etc.) anyway. The bills will always be there, the concerts won't. And besides, you'll be kicking yourself it you don't go. You'll be reading all the excellent reviews on this site saying, "Damn, I should have gone." I missed the Act I and Act II concerts in the early 90's - and I still regret it today! *this is for whoever taught you how to kiss in designer jeans*

The decision is 100% in my hand. However, I would like to know what you think... And if I buy from NPGMC, how does it work to pick up the ticket ? Do I get them the night of the show ?

i completely understand your worry about overloading your credit card. that's a legitimate concern.
but.. you never know when you will not have a chance again to do something. you never know when it might be your LAST chance or opportunity to experience a certain thing or make some great memories -- i don't mean that in a negative, doomsday way, either. i just mean it as that you can't predict life and you should take advantage of your chances and opportunities whenever you possibly can. that's not to say you shouldn't be responsible and pay attention to your finances. if you're going to end up in bankruptcy court or on the streets if you charge Prince tickets on your credit card(s), then obviously you need to pay attention to priorities and put your bills or whatever first. but, if you DO have the means/ability to get tickets and go to this concert and not end up in financial straits, then i say -- DO IT. like i said, you can never predict what might happen tomorrow, or next week, or next month. enjoy life and the opportunities it presents when you can, especially something like this concert tour, something that isn't ALWAYS going to be available. between the opportunity of attending a soundcheck, and all the many many positive, raving reviews of this tour, i would say to go. other material, tangible things you might use the credit card for instead will always be there...seeing Prince this way, at this time, won't be. if you decide to go, have fun. have the time of your life.

i didn't go to the oakland show here in cali. but i could have if i had really, really wanted to. but since i went to 2 of his shows last year, i decided to save the money towards something more important like my up-coming mission trip.
if you don't think you'll regret it later after you read the great reviews of the show, don't go. but if you can't deal with that....then go! have fun, live life! peace!

Yep, you show your ID and they give you a wristband. That band allows you access to the "Members Only" area. You don't get an actual ticket, though. When I first heard the ticket prices here, I admit I did do a double-take! But the soundcheck and the show itself were more than worth it. That was the best show I have been to in my life. There is no other performer I'd spend that kind of money (and time) on. I told myself years ago that I'd never miss another show..... *this is for whoever taught you how to kiss in designer jeans*
