what do you think? It's been posted on the site toward the bottom of the Downloads page.

The cover is kinda weak. It just looks "thrown together". Hopefully the liner notes have some interesting photos . . .

It really doesn't matter though, does it? As long as the music is good.

As it has that snap-closed cover, I'm not expecting there to be much if anything in the way of liner notes or lyrics.

The digipak case does not necessarily preclude having liner notes or a booklet... The Rainbow Children was packaged in digipak and still had a booklet.

I don't get it. I mean I don't get the cd cover.
Whats with the birds nest?
Whats with the Artist symbol growing out of the sunflower?
It says Prince on the cover so its not the Artist.
Looks very Linda McCartney.

I joined the NPGMC a few days ago and my Ur Account thing is totally empty...nothing about the new CD. Anybody else still have no info in their Ur Account area? Just so I know it's not just me.

Yeah, but this case is totally different from TRC digipak. The One Night Alone cd isn't even really a digipak, it's how a lot of cd singles are packaged, like The Purple Medley single I have is in this type of packaging so it's almost impossible there will be a booklet with this one. I hate digipak packaging, just because they can so easily get damaged.

I was gonna post the cover art but

a) it didn't completely work

b) I don't wanna piss off the NPG folks cause you never know... I wanna keep my membership! I think it looks OK. You'll see it soon enough

I think it's weird that his graphic design stuff has sucked so bad for so many years...and he supposedly has a "spare no expense" attitude about art.

For that matter you don't always have to spend big bucks for talent either.

I swear he's surrounded himself with less than professional help.

I paid $100 for the music. I don't care about the art work on the cd cover.

For non members, here's what it looks like.
And how much should we charge 4 that?
If u would prefer it we could just not do this at all.

I think it looks fine...and as far as the eggs go...well, maybe that has something to do with new life(as in his songs), kinda like how he always considered his songs his children. Then again, it could be sayin', since it is a demo, that the songs are little lives that have not reached complete development...(kinda stretchin' on that last one!) smile

What bugs me is while I was pondering the purchase of the year 2 membership, I said something on the lines of...

"I am hesitant to purchase a membership, because I don't have that kind of money to spend on 4 CDs if they are not full length CDs. What assurance do I have that these will be full length, and not just 3 or 4 track CDs?"

and I got a response somewhere along the lines of...

"We guarantee that you will receive 4 FULL LENGTH CDs at the very least, plus we may send you more stuff."

Now, it's possible that this isn't one of the four CDs promised, but it seems likely that it is, considering the thing says "the first CD from the NPGMC is being sent out" on the art on the website. What do y'all think?

It says check out samples from the cd one night alone, it does not say that there is only 4 tracks on the CD. He had samples from TRC but not all tracks, there are samples from the vault, but not every track, why do you all scream the sky is falling, stop being chicken little. and by the way, I dig the cover art, Its something I would like to have as wall paper. I dig it, but just my opinion, and for the non-members, I read your responses, We are not gonna get anything, probaly until the last month, wrong, wrong, wrong, and we are going to the celebration, 7 nights and days for just $250, thats $35 a concert, can you beat that anywhere, with different guest, hearing new music, chilling in the studio, and meeting musicians on a personal level. Boy I am glad I joined the club. what about you?
How you gonna get my back when you fronting.
