Navigation at the NPGMC website

I was just wondering if anyone else thinks it would be nice to have a link to the all the FEATURZ, NEWZ, etc. that is located outside the memberz area, also be in of the memberz area?

I just mean links to it, not repeating the info. (hope that made sense, lol)

I was going to write about this to them, but decided to see if others were thinking the same thing, or something similiar...

I'd have to agree with you there...but I wrote to them about that and never got a response.

- the pages are so graphic intensive they take forever to load, and I HAVE DSL.
- the memberz have to take loop-de-loops to log on...with no auto-login capability.
- the navigation bar, as I mentioned above.
- a members-only chatroom that stays open? (perk)

The flow of the site is totally off. I just wish they'd listen to stuff like this, don't you all think these are legitimate improvements?

Yes to all of that. As for the auto log in problem, mark your members page in your favorites instead of the home page and tell your computer to remember the password. It's not "automatic", but quicker.

Also, who's doing the drawings? Looks like the same artist that did 'Exodus" and NPS. Ugly.

Has anyone ever heard of Bobby?

http://www.cast.org/bobby/

Bobby WorldWide is a tool for Web page authors. It helps them identify changes to their pages so users with disabilities can more easily use their Web pages. For example, a blind user will be aided by adding a sound track to a movie, and a hard-of-hearing user will be aided by a written transcript of a sound file on a Web page. Bobby will recommend that these be added if they do not already exist.

Many people with disabilities use special Web browsers, such as one that reads text out loud using a speech synthesizer for blind users. The suggestions made by Bobby help authors to add information to a Web page which will help the special browsers work more effectively. To learn more about accessibility issues, please start with our Resources page and follow the links. For example, the "rationale" items on the IBM Web site give explanations of how specific items can help.

You can plug in the URL to the Music Club site & see that it performs HORRIBLY.

Here are the results according to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0:

Here are the results tested against U.S. Section 508 guidelines:

Just a note to say...they never responded back...soooo, I guess whoever is in charge either thought, "he doesn't pay me enough to do all that", or, "forget it, we aren't interested."

Guess I will never know...

sad
