I remember back in about 1983 I received a postcard to join Prince's official fan club called "The New Breed". I would imagine that my name was on the list because I had written to him back in the Controvery days. I would say that I received the postcard sometime between 1999 and Purple Rain. Did anyone else receive this postcard? I signed up, but I don't think I ever received anything. This was probably the first stages of the current NPGMC.

It was 1987 inside the LP album Sign O the Times - think I still have a few.

I wish the NPGMC would sell a pill with a little peace sign on it that made me feel like i did when i first got that record on the release date and played it for the first time on my Clarinet 119 from Radio Shack. :sniff:

I was a member of the New Breed & I remember they used to mail shit every so often; pics, lyrics, etc.. They had a welcome kit that was pretty cool that included a New Breed membership card that was plastic. I still have that & a Christmas card that they sent w/ a printed Prince signature. Anyone else have any old New Breed stuff?
