What i cant understand is the antsy people who HAVE TO GET THE CDS NOW OR ELSE! those cds, imo, are not that important. we had soundchecks, good seats, hopefully a GREAT celebration with perks, as it's all for members? did prince set a date in stone as to when these are to come out? i didnt hear or see that. the minute the concerts in the u.s. are over? AND BEFORE, the babies have to get on daddies back for something else RIGHT AWAY. give prince a break! it's not like we dont have LOADS to listen to of his. people have NO patience. plus, when we get the cds, THEN WHAT? ya'll will want something else. i think some people are either retarded, or deliberately taking advantage of prince. HE'S GIVING ALOT. i also might add, imo, he's giving alot for that measly 100.00 fee. PLUS, to ME, i feel the nights he plays at the celebration, (assuming he does just that, and NOT for 1/2 hr. only), is worth MY 250.00 alone. that means JUST THE MUSIC AT NIGHT, not the daily tours, talks, etc. etc. i am SOOOOO sick of hearing about these cds. I don't want them all now. I would like to have received one however. Yet we haven't heard so much as a peep about them, save for Prince's comment a month ago that they'd be shipping in a "couple of weeks." I won't be rejoining this sinking ship.

Respite from what? The music has been recorded. People have heard it already. Prince does not type out the liner notes & press the CDs himself, you know. His involvement is likely minimal at this point. What's your next excuse?

And what kind of moron would pay Prince $100 just to be part of his club? Oh, right. That's you! Said so yourself. But in the real world away from dopey devotion, people joined the 2002 edition of the club & paid $100 expecting the music. They paid for a product, not just to "support the artist." Just like they did last year. Yet so far, nothing has come in return.

Not every member has had the soundchecks, the good seats, or the other perks you selfish twit. And NO ONE has gotten what they've paid for from this club. All of that other crap, I'm not concerned about. I'm not going to the "celebration." I saw him in concert, yet had to pay $150. That's more expensive than the last time I saw him without the club & I had better seats the last time too. Yet for the items we're supposed to be getting, we haven't even seen so much as a teaser of whats to come. An album cover? A track list? Would that be so hard for the club to provide? I don't think so. Babies? Not quite. True, we have a lot of other Prince music to listen to - which we paid for. I want what I paid for NOW. FOUR CDs. You can take the other "perks" and wipe your crusty crack with them.

Has anyone been following just how busy Prince has been the past few months???

Now that he has some breathing room, and can actually get around to planning the Celebration/rehearsing, etc...maybe he can put the final cut out for what we will be getting. Maybe even a goody or 2 at the Celebration?

Then when the Celebration is over and he has a couple of weeks to chill...he can focus on the CDs...

At least we would be getting our internet access, some email accounts and 10MB of webspace for our money. By the way, I haven't joined the club yet. I was a member last year, but I wont join this year until I know a cd is on it's way. Last year I didn't get Rave SE until December! And it was a bitch to get it too! I had to send 8 emails until finally someone took me seriously and sent me the cd.

For those of us who can't/won't travel more than an hour away to see the show, soundchecks and aftershows don't mean much. I used to feel really left out when I heard of shows far away, but I get migraines too and It's just not worth it to me anymore to put myself through that. I have learned to let go.

Am I the only one who thinks $150 is too much? I paid $125 last year for a show, and I was a premium member but I never got a password for the presale. I got into the afterparty, and that was cool, but he just waved at everyone and left. He didn't do an aftershow. But since we had monthly music and video, I felt my $100 was well spent. This year, I'm waiting until cd's are being sent out. I don't make lots of money and one of the reasons I have sooooo much credit card debt is because of my addiction to music.

Long story short, the club is great if you live where he plays and you can take full advantage. But it is still a little expensive.

And before anyone assumes that I'm just a hater, I'm one of those people who thinks Prince is a musical genius and I love 98% of everything he does. Yes, even Emancipation and Rave. (Boy, I sure had a lot to get off my chest!!!)

We are used to paying for things that are put into our hands afterwards.
I think those people griping about their cd's are losers too but surely a time frame from the NPGMC could put an end to it all.
