3121 Jams

Who cares. If he was jammming with The Revolution and once again making music that was progressive and groundbreaking....now that would be a story.
Larry G??? Yawn.

Anxiety

if there's stuff with prince jamming with stevie or joni, i'd be happy to see or hear that. i think watching footage of 3121 jams in general is gonna kinda be like watching recordings of old sports games. i'm sure you see great feats of derring-do, but i think ya just really had to be there. i enjoy prince's aftershow vibes when i'm able to actually physically be there, but - especially lately - that whole free-for-all thing he has going gets lost in translation when you're trying to dig on it after the fact. i really don't wanna hear a bunch of people i don't know sing in a style that doesn't really do anything for me. i like prince because he's an innovator and because he brings a unique energy to his musicianship. i don't wanna sit through an hour of him sitting to the side just because it's a prince aftershow or 3121 jam or whatever, and i should be supporting people he thinks are talented. i've been doing that stuff for 20-some-odd years, and i got tony m. and carmen electra out of the deal. ill i'm happy he enjoys jamming with his friends and i know it's fun to take in when you're actually there, but an exciting recording it does not make. not in my opinion anyway.

rant over. lol
