the idea is fine. prince's music is one of my fav's and with that band.. man. but on the other hand prince NEEDS to sing. the man's got some mad vocal skills that do NEED to be heard. so, i'm not entirely sure what to expect. i DID here some xenophobia-shit live and it sounds alright. can't give you a rating though; too limiting.

Then again, considering the lyrics these days, I think many will welcome an "instrumental" album, lol.

Regardless of the lyrics, I still need 2 hear the purty voice. mr.green

Despite how good the band is, knowing Prince these instrumentals would be very drawn out..and I dont think I could stay awake that long 4 anyone.

It's a really interesting piece live. Personally, I'm very eager 2 hear it. Prince is (in my opinion), a musician first and a singer second, so I'm interested 2 hear Xenophobia.

I'm excited for an instrumental album. I loved the Madhouse records. Besides, you don't need words to "say" something with the music. If he shuts up and just plays his guitar, I'll be in heaven!
I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

I heard the cd at the Oakland paramount concert, and its really good. Reminds me of the Madhouse albums. Very jazzy and smooth, really relaxing. I'd have sex to it.

Alexa De Paris is one of my all-time favorite Prince songs...so I certainly won't mind an instrumental album.

2 me, his best instrument has always been that voice...The music is great but it was his voice that first got me hooked and keeps me coming back for more...If I'm watching him play a show in person, it's cool watching him play different instruments. On record, I wanna hear him sing at least a few songs...Aloha~

I'm all for it as long as it's more Madhouse than Kamasutra.

I can't even get friends to use that one as a coaster on my coffee table. "No, No really...it's okay, put your drink there...that's what it's there for".

I like all the funky voice noises on the Madhouse songs.
