Because when it comes to the music it doesn't matter. Whenever they do release new tunes, it takes about a month before people start in again with, "give us new music". It'll happen when it happens, which will probably be sooner rather than later.

Personally I'm not losing any sleep over it.

I agree 100%. I could care less about crappy merchandise. If he wants to offer it, that's fine. But where's the music. Aaaarrrrgggghhhh! WHAT is he waiting for? The M in NPGMC does stand for MUSIC not MERCHANDISE!

And you know what? As soon as some new music is released, I'll give it a ten-second countdown before people start bitching and calling the music "useless crap you put in your damn ear."

Some people are never satisfied.

that's possible, indeed.

Prince releases an album a year, one way or another. That's far more frequent than most other mainstream artists.

That's absolutely true. BUT, if you look at in terms of how much finished music the average artist releases Prince is way behind. Most artists release every song, or close to every song, that makes it past the demo stage. I hope that makes sense. biggrin

Not really. You think other artists don't have completed yet unreleased tracks? Completed songs that don't see the light of day are pretty common.

Sorry, I didn't explain that very well. Absolutely other artists have completed tracks that they haven't released. If you buy most reissues many of them contain outtakes. But percentage wise most artists probably release well over 90% of their songs which have been fully produced. Prince on the other hand probably releases well under 50% of his "finished" songs. So from that point of view he is way behind.

i think, along with earwarps, they should offer some nice bob saget posters. this would increase their revenue greatly and draw more people to the NPGMC. i know I'D buy one, who wouldn't?
