Ahdio Shows - Prince ahead of his time again

With all of the articles and people talking about "podcasting" it makes me laugh because P did it years ago.

I think there was 11 because the TRC album replaced the ahdio show in one month - I think it was Oct. I love the show where Morris Hayes is doing his gay hairdresser voice and any one with Femi - especially the one where he takes a cab when he is running late to Paisley Park. Femi s hilarious biggrin

I loved the ahdioshows. Well, the 2 I got to hear biggrin

at the time they were released I was on a very slow
connection and it took me half an hour to 45 minutes
just to download a single SONG.

so I never got round to downloading all the ahdio's
and just got 1 or 2 from friends burned on cd.

But from what I've heard, they're very cool. I wish
he'd do some more of those.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Yes I too really miss the Ahdio shows. I didn`t care for the musicl that P released thru the Ahdio shows; however I truely did love the idea. I wish that he would go back to that monthly format as a download. It can`t cost that much to produce an Ahdio show and we all know that the man has enough music in the proverbial vault to make plenty of Ahdio shows. Hell I will dproduce and edit them for free!!!! Yo` P call me and we can work out the details.....

I have all 12...was finally able to download them all from Limewire. They are pretty cool. The last one is kinda like a retropsective...all Prince music from what I remember.

if u want them tracked all u have to do is, do it yourself
there is a program called soundforge 7.1 that i have in my computer, u can get it from shareware, and it will let u upload the ahdio show, or that loveable lovesexy album, and track it however u want to.

it will also, let u chop and screw, remix, spin backwards(as in un-edit all those dumb edited songs- put the cussin back in it) or unscramble the end of darling nikki.

it's an awesome program with lots of plug ins that will do almost anything.

that is what i used to track all of my ahdio shows.

just a thought

I loved the Ahdio Shows too and I miss them!

It really feels like listening to a radio station with taste!

I wish Prince would create some new ones...

How corny is the opening of one of the shows when fans are interviewed about their impresions of The Rainbow Children? They gush so reidiculously that it even sickens a hard core like me. Some even came up with phony sounding sound bites to ensure that theirs was used. These are the kind of fans that I slapped around at Xenophobia.
