This band was not Maceo's band and NOT Prince's new band but a new band Prince has put together..I mean it says the lead vocalist Ashley..right? so...I'm thinking it ain't "Prince's" band so to speak..and it seems this band is doing mostly if not all covers...so the MJ song isn't really that big of a surprise to me. oh yeah..Joni Mitchel was at one of his Grammy parties too...the 3121 report for that party says she stayed till the morning! as for this reporter....hmmm, I think she's an entertainment writer for something (be it a crappy one)...but in an earlier report it mentioned how she'd never have believed her friend who had an inside Prince connection would have landed her there...and the PP's at the club state that these reports are being sent to them...we gotta figure her out...who was the chick who used to do the Paisley party reports...??? she was supposed to be all mysterious too right? hmm... The mystery reporter is probably Mani, sounds like how a FANATIC would talk. oh...that was dawg! "not a fan" yeah...ok

He used to cover "The Way You Make Me Feel" on The Lovesexy 88 tour, as part of an 80s medley. He's also done a few old Jackson 5 covers in his time. P's rivallry with Jackson has always been friendly. In fact, he gives grief to ALL the artists he admires: Madonna, U2, Eric Clapton, etc. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. But, ya know, she's not used to all this Hollywood crap and has to be starstruck (and with all the hotties hanging around, she oughta be worried, the old P just might bust out!). Hell, if Mayte could run 1-800-New-Funk, then why can't Mani write a couple of party reports?

i am so surprised some of you think it is a bad report...just being one of those who use to party at paisley it made me tear up .... made me remember the whole vibe and how he use to have the biggest strawberries on the table when you entered....
sounds like it was awesome and very intimate.. miss those days for sure and to think we had it first here in mpls. now all the celebs are begging to go the parties. i think it was a fun description. but i guess that is just my opinion. and most of the time fans want to know what is going on ....this was a way besides rubbing it in ... to let some know. and yes he is definately up to something... but isn't he always. and wasn't venessa barth....christie Alley ????/ or however you spell her name.. that who she was in the my name is prince video. now that has me confused so is she hanging again or is someone else got that A.K.A. makes me wonder,....

I think the problem is with the 'fangirl' writing, rather than focusing on the music, it's all about the name checks. It's not that I don't want to hear what's going on, I'd just like to have something of substance rather than fluff.

I dunno man, there's something a little bit weird and self-righteus about having such a glowing write up about yourself on your own website...evcen more so that you are paying the people who work for you to write it.

Its kinda like saying "I did a gig last night, I was amazing, quite possibly the best musician the world has ever seen, I really am a genius" I see what you are saying, I really do . . . but substitute "the world has ever seen" with "in the world" and that statement, arrogant as it is, could arguably be 100% true. The cat in your avvie often said something similar. But he was right. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Now it has been taken over by t mobile, one2one is still tied up with its contractual obligations. This naturally makes Prince very irate, frustrated and meloncholly.
3121 simply means free one2one. Thank you. I recently signed for TMobile on a 12month contract and they seem very good. The lady in the shop was very helpful. I cant believe they are quietly enslaving smaller less powerful acts. I got line rental at half price for the first 6 months for God sake. Having read your words i will consider taking my new phone and miscellaneous accessories back to the shop. Prehaps you can write to Prince and tell him about it, you know his address now. http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/ - Prince discography, tour history, news and more.

Its kinda like saying "I did a gig last night, I was amazing, quite possibly the best musician the world has ever seen, I really am a genius" Yea it's kinda weird, it would be cool if he actually wrote something once in awhile, hell Britney has time to do that.. haha I'm sure Prince was "off the chain" and all, but why does he feel the need to brag about it on his web site.. We paid to be members, they're preaching to the choir here..It's not like we could have spent money to go, its kind of a real tease, unless of course they filmed it on DVD??? ______________________________________________

I sure hope his heart goes out to the victim of the molestation instead of to Michael Jackson. Fair enough. But if someone you knew was undergoing trial for sex abuse, and had not yet been proven guilty, who would you feel for? If you believe the person you knew, there IS no victim. My wild guess at P's motivation for playing an MJ song assumes that P thinks MJ is being set up, in which case, there was no molestation. As for the case itself, check out the huge MJ threads. Suffice it to say I have made my views about MJ known. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

MJ may admire P (naming his kids Prince) but his sense of rivalry has always been a mite more intense. 4 Example: - In the "Bad" video, it is a fact that the rival gang leader, ultimately played by Wesley Snipes, was originally intended by MJ 2 B Prince. - In the infamous MJ-Prince-James Brown clip, MJ seemed 2 have constantly been badgering JB 2 "invite" Prince 2 the stage. (on the other hand, mayB it was out of friendship?) There R others, but there R 2 many 2 name. P.S. Don't take this as a shot at MJ. love MJ. The 1st time walked was 2 the song "Man in the Mirror". all can do, is just offer U my love...

MJ named his kids prince in memory of his grandfather, called prince (if you didnt guess). Prince didn't realise this and slagged of MJ in the song fascination on the truth. saying something like "so called king and child named so called prince". MJs camp were quite surprised as if was quite spiteful and the lyric jokes between prince and MJ were usually tongue in cheek. but then they later found out prince didn't realise about Mjs grandfather, but did find out later on. i don't know what prince did about it once he realised though. just cos prince was meant to be the opposite gang leader don't mean shit. wasn't that whole thing that quincy jones wanted to create a rivalry between prince and MJ, hype the media up, then hit them with beat it with prince and MJ in it and obviously score massive hits for both of them. supposedly they all met up but when prince heard the song he said this is a hit without me and wouldn't do it. obviously prince now tells it like "well the first lyric is "and your butt is mine" and i ain't singing that and he sure as hell isnt!" yeah the james brown clip is funny as it is MJ badgering JB, supposedly prince just asked for a shoutout and wasn't prepared to go on stage, probably why he fucks it up so bad (as well as cos he was so fucked up!). no idea if it was MJ trying to catch P unawares of he wanted to see what he could do or what plus there is that story of prince being at the jacksons house, flirting with latoya, and when he thought noone was looking licked her ear, and looked round to see MJ looking at him horrified! then later on he started trying to get with janet, but she wouldn't go out with him because of the trick he played on MJ where he gave him a box that contained dirt, a feather etc etc some weird voodoo stuff, and made MJ think it was a curse or something. and prince was like 'oh its just a joke' to janet but she wasn't having none of it! there is a different version where prince gave him the box and stuff and it meant strength and vitality but MJ thought it was a curse. i'm more inclined to believe the former as it fits in with princes "cruel" practical joker thing he seemed to do at the time. And it might as well be about kings and their sons being princes, as Prince of course would say that only Jesus is king.

[Edited 3/4/05 0:08am] Howdoes anyone know that Prince was on drugs or drunk that night he got on stage with James Brown? Has anyone ever proved any of it? And why is he said to have mesed up the performance? Other than the cheap ass prop falling over at the end - which isnt his fault - I dont see anything wrong with it. He was pullling something out of a hat after being called up by james on the impromptu. I just like to challenge rumors that sheep fall in and accept without any PROVEN facts.
