I feel its an expensive ornament to hang on your wall, from people I have talked to that bought one said it was a poorly made schecter guitar. that had finish problems, tuning problems, and intonation problems.
If your buying as a museum piece, go for it! If your buying it to actually play it you can get a fender squier strat made in Zimbabwe that will play just as well for $99. | |

I'm always afraid that the quality will be poor. That is why I'm considering letting someone build a replica for me. knowing the quality will be good. I'm a guitarist, but for $1500 I can get a really cool guitar. Having somebody build a replica is probably the way to go. At least you know what went into to it(pick-ups type of wood) and that somebody took the time, to put their craft into it. So its not some production line model. I have nothing against the cloud guitar that NPG is selling, I just wish Prince would have put his name to a higher quaility instrument. Lets face it, if you want a Brian Setzer 6120 Gretsch guitar its $3500 but you are getting what you paid for. I would go there for a Prince guitar if I knew it was the quaility of the Gretsch. Not that Gretsch is my favorite guitar but signature models of most famous guitarists start at $2000 and up. With the exception of some of the Fender models. At least when you pay $1200 for a Stevie Ray Vaughn strat its made in the U.S.A. the schecter cloud guitar is made over seas. Its too bad Prince didn't insist on the Schecter being made in the U.S.The U.S. schecter's are well made and beautiful.  [Edited 2/13/05 8:52am] | |

I bought a white Schecter Cloud Guitar with the Prince Symbols on the Neck instead of the dots. There are a couple of very minor flaws on the white finishing. It is yellow on a couple of spots on the edge of the neck where the metal frets are and the action is a little high and the strings vibrate on the neck too much if i lower the strings. Other than that I play it all the time and I can say I love my guitar. | |

can anyone give me a link to where I can buy one of these. I'll be coming in to some money soon and I've always wanted one. Plus, I am going to be working with some great local musicians on an 80's cover band and the cloud guitar would be a brilliant touch.

zach If you're a serious musician, don't buy one to perform with. One of the worst guitars I've laid my hands on. The sound is just terrible.And it hasn't only been one that I've played they have been quite a few around the country. All from the NPGMC.This is not a joke, but the guitars you can buy at Wal Mart would do you a better job, and they're around $150! | |

it looks like its only in the members store for $1500
if you intend to play it a custom built one would be better . i have one from the music club and its too delicate to play as a normal guitar. | |
