Proof NPGMC Mods Come To The ORG!

So this is the story the NPGMC released yesterday:
"Prince sets new record on R&B charts

Charts / Awards (2004-11-30)
'Call My Name' sets a new record for Prince

LOS ANGELES (www.npgmc.com) - This week's Billboard R&B Singles chart sets a record for the platinum-plus MUSICOLOGY album single "Call My Name," as it rebounds to No 44 in its 27th week on the chart. Believe it or not, this is the longest any Prince single has ever spent on the R&B chart.
His previous records for longevity were "I Want 2 B Your Lover" and "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World," both of which spent 23 weeks on the chart.
While he's enjoying this chart success, Prince has made available new and unreleased songs on his online NPG Music Club site, www.npgmc.com.
"San Jose Jam" was recorded live at sound check in San Jose during the sold-out MUSICOLOGY tour; and the new song, "Glass Cutter" (demo), recorded at Paisley Park earlier this year, features Prince on all instruments and vocals."

This is what I posted here on November 19th:
"On this week's Billboard R&B Singles chart, "Call My Name" rebounds 48-44 in it's 27th week on the chart. Believe it or not, this is the longest any Prince single has ever spent on the R&B chart. His previous records for longevity were "I Wanna Be Your Lover" and "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World," which both spent 23 weeks on the chart.

It's all the more impressive considering "Lover" and "Beautiful" reached nos.1 and 2, respectively, while "Call My Name" only made it to no.27. Slow and steady wins the race..."

I realize there are only so many ways you can write about chart news, but that's almost WORD FOR WORD folks. The only things I didn't write were the plugs. Glad to know the NPGMC actually does keep up with the Org! lol

actually - if ANYTHING, it looks more like AP reporters come to the org, and NPGMC used the story in their news forum.

AP stories are usually credited as such in the byline, and why would the AP plug Prince's new internet-only singles?

I can't believe any of 'em come here. In a "private message" reply to me, one of 'em mentioned the org in terms suggesting they see the org as some wild, barbarian-inhabited nether region...and implying s/he only knew THAT second-hand, as if s/he wouldn't go so low as to actually surf over to this site for a little while to see what it's like! lol
