I was thinking about joing the NPGMC and was wondering what you all think of the club?

It is worth while joing?

I understand the cost is $25 is that US dollars?

Of course it's US Dollars, silly.

Yeah, well I think you'll find the main reason most of us Aussie's joined was the concerts last year to get into soundchecks, etc.

There's not too much else to speak of...I don't bother with the boards over there at the club cause they're too cultish for me.

To be honest I can't recommend it one way or the other....but I'm sure you'll get plenty of people either slamming it or raving about it and to be totally frank, it's not really worthy of slamming or condoning. It's just sort of there...we don't get new music from them, unless you consider low quality, previously released tracks "new". The retail is nice and so is the musicology store, but you don't need to be a member for that so unless you have a concert to go to and want the best tix, I don't know.... it's really not that great. But then again, it works out to about $40 Aussie dollars, so if you don't mind parting with that and want to feel part of the the "club", you might like it.

If he tours again, absolutely join. Got spoiled rotten last year on the tour, great soundchecks and killer aftershows, all my shows were front 15 rows. If he doesn't tour theres less incentive but at $25us it's hardly breaking the bank

U may as well. It's only gonna set u back the price of a new release DVD (think of it that way) and once u join, Ur down 4 life (unlike the first 3 years where u had 2 renew on an annual basis). When Prince returns 2 Australia, U will see the benefits of what the club offers.

It's not expensive and as dnaplaya said it's a one off fee and if he tours again.....man you get some goodies : Front section concert seats, access 2 the rehearsals and the aftershows !!!
Man last year was unreal.

Ive been a member for a while and I really enjoy the vibe there. Some ppl may think it comes across as cultish but I think that excuse is getting a bit old n lame
As with here, you get out if it what you want. If you want to expand your interaction join, if your happy with the interaction you currently get ... why bother.
NPGMC is my place of choice ... tbh

I joined when it first started..so I've been a member for a while now.
I only go back there every now and then to see what's happening. It's a bit too clicky for me....if you don't know anyone there, it can be a bit lonely posting.
But if he tours again.....I would become a member if I was you.
