I bought "NEWS" and the "Rave" remix album.

yeah, i've heard it's improved a lot. i guess i'm just still reeling from the old days when it was a complete nightmare to get so much as a confirmation from them.

What is the quality like of the mechandise, to me it all looks like over priced crap.

the music section is obviously fine but the clothes!! The designs are BAD and the lifestyle section, please $10 for 15 insence sticks!!! What are they dipped in Prince sweat?

I think if I ever brought anything from the store it would only be CD's but then they do not really have anything in there worth buying.

I was thinking of buying baby stuff for my baby but it is still really expensive for what it looks like, the baby hats are $12? I bet they are thin cotton or something, I am just not willing to be sucked in to being ripped off just because it is from Prince' store, I bet he is laughing at everyone buying all this shit!!!!

I will say that the shirts are good quality shirts, so don't worry about that part.

However, it's your money so buy it if you like, or leave it alone.

I know members get a discount in the Musicology section but what about retail? Do they run special members-only promos from time to time? I'm going to pick up a copy of Rave IN2 but would wait if I can get it cheaper somehow.

Just ordered another DoW cd and The War tape to replace/back up my collection. Products $10 shipping $10.99. Fucking ludicrous. I get stuff shipped to me from the States all the time, and quite frankly the shipping fees for MusicToday are daylight robbery. Plus it has now been 2 weeks since I ordered and still no sign of my package. They charge you the highest rate possible then send by the cheapest route. Ship Method: DHL (2 to 4 weeks delivery) .Since I placed this order I have ordered and received 4 packages of a similar nature form the US, and have not been charged over $5 shipping for any of them.
Even if I had gotten a US based member to buy them and ship them to me, it still would have cost $5 for the domestic shipping, which probably would take just as long, then another $5 for priority airmail to UK. And just think - this is the new improved and cheaper NPGMC store - it was twicw as expensive before!
I really should have my credit cards locked in a safe at night so I don't do stupid stuff like this.

Like most people that responded I bought Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic and N.E.W.S. I'm not really big on all of the other merchandise. Is Prince trying to give Gene Simmons and Kiss some competition for biggest corporate whore? I actually found N.E.W.S. at retail, but I ordered Rave In2... through the online store. I have also noticed that the tshirts (all the same as on the tour) are a few bucks cheaper (but then again, there's shipping)...

I have never had a problem getting something in a timely fashion from the NPGMC store. It works fine. You're not going to find Rave In2 for cheaper somewhere else, by the way. Maybe on ebay if you're lucky, but you should just buy it if you don't have it.

I want a few more of the tshirts and plan to buy them from the online store. I didn't want to spend that much money all at once at the shows.

My next purchase from there, I think, will be the purple 1999 shirt and a symbol keychain...
