Problems to access the new track I've purchased the new track not from my home computer and not that I'm trying to download it at home the pop-up window says I need a new license. But when I re-enter my member info it still says I need to get a new license. I've tried again and again and again. Any suggestion to solve this trouble, please? Greatly appreciated. Thanx. | |

Only suggestion I can make is, I have Aol and there seems to be a prob with Prince and AOL, so I have to log on and then open a second browser via Internet Explorer and then go to NPGMC and go to my club account, which you can access by adding anything to your cart, then the purchase screen has a bunch of options listed at the top including club members accounts, which shows all prior purchases including the one for The United States of Division. And click on to get your liscense again and then do the normal downloading all over again. It sounds like what happened to me when i tried to download via AOL in the past. The track is off the meat rack!! 1980-Present

It sounds like the same thing I have gone though with AOL. Just long on to AOL or whatever, then open up a 2nd browser via Internet Explorer and go to NPGMC through tha browser. Go into u club account, which u can access by adding to your cart and on the purchase screen it is at the top of the screen. It will list all purchases u have made once u click on it (Member's account/non-memebers accounts). Click on get liscense for United States of.. and go through the whole download process again. good luck 1980-Present

The site is pretty clear that you can only play the track on the computer you buy it on. This is from the HELP section...
"IMPORTANT: Make sure u mean 2 buy ur music from ur primary computer (for example: ur home computer) so that it contains ur primary license. The licenses are non-transferable. Example: U cannot buy ur music on ur home machine and then transfer ur primary license 2 ur second home computer. The computer u buy from becomes the primary computer with the primary license 4 that song. U can only copy music from ur primary machine via your primary license." | |

It used to work with all downloads until this one.

I successfully got Magnificent last April, but I cannot get this new track AT ALL.
Everytime I try to purchase it through a Non-member account, it says "INVALID PASSWORD". Eveyrtime I try to access my Non-member account, it says "FAILURE TO LOG IN" The support e-mails have not helped at all. Can somebody PLEASE help ? | |

i haven't been able to purchase it either. everytime i try i get a declined notice for the credit card. it says my info doesn't match. i know the card is nowhere near its limit and i've used it recently so there is no problem with the card.
oh well. no new song for me. | |

Me too. tried to buy it several times, same with the last few downloads. Nothing works. I tried to get it off Kazaa etc as a last resort, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm happy to pay for the thing, but I can't.

What frustrates me is, as a non-member, I need only to enter my e-mail address and password, which I do not remember having to do when I bought "Magnificent" in April (the first and last successful purchase there).
Once I tried to buy "United..." on the morning of July 4th, I thought "Damn, I don't remember needing a password, I'm not even a member. Well I tried every password I ever use for anything, and none work. So I just enter my e-mail address alone with no password and it works ! It was all too easy, them taking my .99 cent without me having to log in properly. However, I never was able to get the damn license. I immediately went through the help section twice and tried all the troubleshooting. It's now the 10th of July. I have been talking to NPG staff through e-mail ever since, and STILL haven't gotten the song. When I first e-mailed them, I stated the problem, that I was a non-member, and that I've tried ALL the troubleshooting. They suggested I log into my account to change the password. HOW CAN I LOG IN TO DO THIS WITHOUT A PASSWORD?! After two more useless correspondences, they suggested I do some tweaking with my Windows Media Player. Well, it worked, but in the end, I was supposed to LOG IN to my account to finalize it. Again, HOW CAN I LOG IN WITHOUT A PASSWORD. The 4th or 5th e-mail suggested I enter my Username and they can send me my password on the "Lost Password" form. That's great and all, but THEY KNEW FROM THE FIRST FOUR E-MAILS I'm NOT a member ! And there's no way to do that with non-members ! Finally, yesterday, almost a WEEK later, they suggested I log into my account to change my password. I dunno, what do YA'LL think ? Maybe I'M the ___hole here ! I'm being so polite in these e-mails because I don't know if I'm talking to decent, hard-working people, machines, or maybe it's like, God working through the NPG support system, so I can't take the risk of being a smartass. The most potentially wise-acre thing I said was "Five e-mails ago, I stated I was a non-member, AND I stated that I had tried all of this already." Am I in the twilight zone here, or is this the kind of surreal, David Lynch movie kinda experience everybody else is having ? | |

I've purchased it (twice!) i have it sat on my desktop. When i open it with media player it just says 'encountered unknown error' and refuses to play. kind of grating my nerves as i have no clue what to do. | |

Well, after my last post, it's been 5 days of total silence from the otherwise unhelpful NPG support e-mails I've been dealing with.
The new tracks out, I wanna hear it, but I'm still waiting on the one from WEEKS ago that they were all too happy to take the payment for. | |

I too had an unknown error. I went to windowsupdate.microsoft.com, and found an update for media player codecs. that fixed it for me. Has anybody had trouble trying to copy United States of Division to an Audio CD? I get an error saying I don't have a license for copying. I'll just add that this DRM shit absolutely sucks arse. I can't stand it. I can't stand Microsoft products either and hate having to boot into XP and be treated as a criminal just to hear a new track! This is the only time I have to venture away from Linux.. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop. | |

Can I ask another question?
I can't even seem to get to the mixer desks these days. I can access the screen showing the mixer desk itself (the one with Prince looking all aloof on the left!) When I click on either mixer 1 or mixer 2 I get though to the next screen but the "loading" thing is just static and the bar (?) at the bottom of my screen just says 'Done' as if it's completed the task, but I'm not actually at the mixers themselves. I have got Magnificent, USOD, Controversy etc but since the release of Silver Tongue I seem to have this problem. Anyone any ideas? Thanks guys. | |

All other songs worked easily. Now just this week when Silver Tongue comes out, I cannot get past the mixer board. I get the "Loading" icon, but nothing happens. If you find a solution I'd love to hear it. NPGMC is no help. | |
