Thats it!! I have had enough of the Club and once I have secured tix for the rumoured Autumn/Winter UK tour I am ceasing my membership of the Club, for these reasons alone:

I cant access the chatroom anyway(I click on the chatroom link and then I have 2 fill in my username and password in a grey box and then once I have got into the chatroom everything just freezes up on me!!)
I cant download all the new songs Prince puts up on there since we had 2 start paying for them as I dont have a credit card(I used my dads 2 join up in the first place and I cant keep asking him every 5 minutes 2 use it for downloading as he doesnt live near me for one thing!!)Also I find all the discussions in the U Tell Us Forums, particularly in the Knowledge Forum, very nauseating to b quite honest!! I am connected with JWs and even comments by JWs on there are very much aimed at trying 2 keep on the right side of Prince and they dont really touch on very important issues that are gonna b facing mankind in the very near future. Also they all feel as though they know Prince personally and that he knows them!!! But if the truth b known, he doesnt care 2 hoots about us all, JW or not!! I love Prince, but I prefer not 2 get too wrapped up in all of this!!!

Maybe I am feeling like this, cos I am, at last, at 46, growing up!!!

We keep getting denied everytime we try and apply for one!! One of the reasons is that unbeknown 2 us, we have moved into a blacklisted address, cos the previous tenants got into such deep trouble with creditors and courts, cos when we moved in we kept getting all their mail still for about 6 months after we moved in, and it was all from credit agencies, debt collectors, and also court orders, etc, for unpaid bills, etc. So, hence, our place is on a blacklist for a certain number of years despite who lives there!! We have tried everything we can 2 clear us and prove that we are not the previous occupants!!
Also, we moved here from the USA, so, we have to be back in this country and living at this address for 3 or more years before we can apply for credit!! And we have only been in this place 2 1/2 years!!
Also, over here in the UK, its more difficult 2 apply for credit cards than it is in the USA!!

Anyway, I really prefer not 2 have one, as I dont want 2 get into all the huge credit card troubles, that most people seem 2 get themselves into!! Then they have 2 apply 2 loan companies for loans in order 2 get themselves out of all the credit card troubles they are in!!! I am glad that we are free from all of that!!! I can happily say that I sleep VERY well at nights, thank you!!!

I must admit I do have a debit card, which works differently than a credit card, as it actually debits money out of your account, instead of u getting a credit card bill, which u have 2 pay, plus interest!!
I use my debit card 2 pay for things online, as long as I use the UK branches of things like Amazon, PayPal, eBay, Borders, etc. as they accept my debit card!!
Also I get Prince merchandize from www.madhousemusic.co.uk who accept all methods of payment, including my debit card, so I am not really losing out just because I dont have a credit card!!!

I was refused a credit card for years! And the only reason was that I'd never previously been in debt - and credit card people like you to have been in debt. I can understand why you're a bit pigged-off with the NPGMC. The forums are a joke (And the nominees for the Brown-nose award goes to... A Large Part Of The Stepford Fam over at the NPGMC). But I personally feel that releasing downloads online is the quickest and simplest way of getting music to the members. And the Pay-As-You-Go thing is the best format, yet!

The NPGMC has had it's flaws since day one, but it's most recent incarnation is, I feel, the finest yet.

They ain't gonna please everybody all the time, but they're getting nearer and nearer.

I hope you soon find a way of enjoying the Club and getting your money's worth.

no offense Gold319 but i think maybe you need to get away from a computer for a while. it seems you make a lot of dramatic decisions every now and then but never follow thru.

forget credit cards! debit cards work the same and are much better...i use the paypal master card debit card

I was just picking him/her. Having a little fun. There are people who choose not to have a credit card. I don't have one, I use my debit card.

So let me get this straight, you're complaining that you can't get in the chatroom, and then complaining that the people in the chatroom are annoying anyway?!

You're complaining you can't buy downloads because you haven't got a credit/debit card and then say you are only after concert tix - for which you will still need a credit/debit card?!

Here's some solutions:

1. Don't bother going into the chatroom it's rubbish, stick with prince.org instead.

2. Get your bank to give you a debit card. You can't buy things on credit so you won't run up a big bill, although you may suck the money in your current account dry. Although downloads on the site don't cost that much anyway.

Credit cards don't put people into debt, people do.

If u would scroll back up this page u will notice a post that says that I DO have a debit card!!!!!
The only problem is that Prince doesnt accept it!!!!!

U see, here in the UK, we dont have Visa or Mastercard debit cards, like u do in the USA. Visa and Mastercard are only credit cards here. Our debit cards are usually under the names of Switch, Solo, Electron, Delta, Maestro, etc. And I doubt whether Prince would accept those!! LOL

The Club should also have a PayPal account, which would make it easier for people like us!!

But then the downloads anyway, are not worth even paying for them, except the last one, United States Of Division!!

Besides, to make the comment that the downloads are no good you must have already heard the downloads - which suggests you have acquired them through other means and therefore don't need to download them. So what are you complaining about?

Maybe I missed something here..If you are just waiting to purchase concert tickets; how will you do that if all you have is a debit card that you cannot use on the site... or will you ask your dad if you can use his to make that purchase. wouldn't it be possible for you to get a debit card through PayPal or something..even though you are not in the states????

Visa operate the Delta system. If you have the Visa symbol on your card, you can use it just like a credit card, and therefore on the site (it should have a 16 digit number starting with a 4). The other debit-type cards you mention are more of a problem.

I saw another post saying she wasn't going to use the PC all day but actually get a life..why do we care..just do it..we don't need to know. This place breeds some very strange folk.
