Prince and The NPG will per4m as scheduled on July 2 at the Essence Festival. Very special guests included.

I'd buy that ticket in a second if I had a snowball's chance in hell of attending.

Prince is playing Essence, but not July 2. He is playing opening night of the festival, July 1. This will also mark the first time in Essence Music Festival history where one performer is slated to be the sole headliner on the main stage. Typically at essence, they need several acts to fill the Lousiana Superdome, but with Prince's banner year, the show.... I guess 72,000 seats, are nearly sold. Morris Day and The Time are slated to open the show.

Now, there are what they call "Super Lounges", and these rooms (typically 4 at each corner of the Dome) will have performers. For tommorrow night, I think Mille Jackson is in one lounge, Musiq in another.... the other 2 lounges I am not sure.

I may go.

Sorry guys, youare correct, the show is on July 2... I knew the shyow was Friday, but I was thinking there were 31 days in June. My mistake. : )
