SOMEONE HELP ME! I'm going to the Concord CA concert in May, I'm a hardcore fan... someone please tell me how to make the most of this. I'm dirt poor and not a member of the NPGMC, but I want to have the time of my life. I've NEVER been to a Prince concert!!! AaaaaahhhH!!!

I heard people talking about how Prince did an aftershow in Detroit too!...can anybody verify?

I was there, and have a few tid-bits to add.
Great review, by the way.
1. The soundcheck was awsome. Prince walked right by me going down the aisle, that's a sight that i'll never forget.
My wife was right in front of the stage. She touched his arm and his guitar strings. I think she became a bigger Prince fan that night...he is so polite with his fans.

2. interesting story about that little girl and her dad. They were at the saginaw show also, and Prince called her up on stage to dance that night, she was easy to remember because she had a homemade NPG sign....in Detroit, the dad wasn't able to get tickets to the show. I talked to him when NPGMC opened up their chatroom on Sun. He told me that he would find out soon if he could get tix for that show.
Apparently he couldn't, but, being a member of the NPGMC, he went to the soundcheck(didn't need tix to show to get in) and took his little girl. Prince found out that they couldn't stay for the show, and told them not to worry about the tickets, they could watch from the stage!!
My wife heard this whole conversation. How cool is that??

3. On my way out the door, i seen that John Blackwell was in the front of the stage, talking to some people.
We walked up there to mingle with him. Just as we were getting up there, he headed back to his drums and grabbed a bunch of sticks. He tossed them out to the crowd. The first one landed in my hand, and slipped out. I grabbed the last one that he tossed out. (whew).
Then he autographed it for me. What a cool guy...

And where we were sitting (second row center) there was sometimes more of a show on the floor than on the stage (drunks running around gettin in folks faces. . . it was a trip).

Ricco is over and we is just chillin. we just read your comments and says thanks. it really was a moment for him. in fact when he came off the stage i was the first one he grabbed and all he could do is hold on to me to keep him up. it took 20 years for all that Prince had been there for him to make those tears come out. i have 2 admit that i had 2 fight back tears as i walked away from p after talking to/shaking his hand.....i too have waited 15+ years for that moment and everything that transpired at the aftershow in buffalo.....ONE NIGHT....TO REMEMBER is more appropriate 4 this tour!!!!

sounds like a real good time....i need to see this tour..you had me going for a sec about the fantasy aftershow...i just happened to be listening to around the world in a day cause i was like in that sort of mood and i was actually thinking how cool it would be to see him play tambourine..then i read yr "aftershow set list"...you had me going!!!...damn!!...but in the prince world anything is possible so i wouldn't be suprised if he busted out one of those tunes at some point....oh yeah..and i've met those crazy italian chicks too on a number of occations...yr right they do go to ALL the shows....i met them at dave letterman when he played dinner with delores..yes i was there!!!...and i've seen them at some other shows too...its kind of a small world this prince world!!!!by the way..was anyone at paisley park in january of 95 for that mayor benefit thing???...i was there...just wondering if anyone else here was...peace all!!!

man 15 min.of fame and eye loved every f--- min.of it when he reached out grabed my hand and pulled me up on stage that was wild.2 look at u purple people the way prince c u was cool.screaming friends, so eye dance my ass off, and when prince backed up put the guitar on as 2 jester the stage is your eye went n 2 second gear that s--- was cool,it must b the gemini connection.

ANTONIUS VERSACE & ADONIS VERSACE RULED THE FASHION SCENE,THE RUFFLES WERE THE LOOK OF THE NIGHT.THE WOMEN LOVED IT.

Hey Dennis! Thanks for the vote of confidence, I appreciate it! I definitely will stop to say hello to you because my friend and I know you. I'm so happy that you got an 8th row seat; sometimes it pays to wait a little while to see what tickets become available. Sometimes credit card orders will bounce for various reasons, so you just never know what might pop up for availability. We're going to have a ton of fun, and will probably both be posting a post-concert report afterwards.

Hi Adonis, I remember you from the Princefests in Toledo, I'm Nancy from Cleveland (friend of Phylis). How you been? How exciting that Prince had you jump up on stage with him, that is a moment that you will definitely never forget! You definitely must have been having the time of your life up there on stage! It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy either! I hope to see you at the Princefest this year. Any idea as to where or when it is going to be taking place? Information about it has been slow in coming. Talk to ya soon!
